This is a good sized handle and length of lead. The only problem is that it’s far too easy for it to automatically lock which is quite frustrating hence only 3 stars.

I am impressed with this. My dog (a rescue) has virtually zero recall. She's also fairly big, often wet and muddy, and very, very friendly. And, like most springers, if she spies a person or dog that look as if they may possibly be a new friend, she wants to go meet them. This is not always a popular move. Not everyone is a doggy fan... Even those with dogs I have found. I used to exercise her on a 50 foot lunge lead, but since becoming ill last year, I do not have the physical strength to hang on to it when she dashes off. A regular lead doesn't have enough play for her. This a great compromise until I (hopefully) get strong enough to go back to the big lead.The lead appears to be quite robust, the button seems strong enough to hold the lead in the chosen length. The handle is comfortable to hold. Unlike many retractable leads, this lead is flat woven rather than the rope type. The clip to go on the collar also looks strong.The lead comes presented in a sturdy cardboard box, it is also packed in a cute little pink mini tote bag. I'm not sure why, but it is handy threaded on to a belt loop for poop bags and treats. There is also a little safety guideline card.All in all, this is great for any dog owner who's furry pal is a little less than 100%. And with it's cute packaging, this makes an ideal "new puppy" gift for any one with a new pup

I got this as a replacement for a much more expensive one I had got from a local pet shop which had started to snag preventing it from extending fully. My dogs don't usually go on the lead very often at all being out in the countryside, so when they do have to go on one when travelling I like to have an extendable one with a good length which can handle a bit of tension if they're fooling about or running around. This feels just as solid and good quality as the P.A.H one which was nearly twice the price, so am very pleased with it.The five meter length on this one is ideal, the lock button to stop the lead extending/retracting is as standard and works perfectly every time and Imuch prefer the tape lead with this rather than the cord lead on the previous one I had as this feels much safer in the event of any finger or doggy entanglements! And the handle is comfortable and easy to hold onto if you go on longer walks with these. Very pleased and will happily get a second one when my other extendable needs replacing.

I thought this would work with my small dog but the operation was erratic in use and I only used it for one dog walk

Looks nice and feels nice to hold

This works really well but should come with a warning that you need to be bigger than your dog. My dog loves collecting tennis balls and can hold 10 in his mouth (he is as big as a small shed!). The lead unreels easily and locks but the first time I unlocked, it reeled me in so fast my feet left the ground and I crashed face first into my dog's shoulder. It wasn't pleased and spat the balls at me.Apparently I can hold 2 balls in my mouth with a bit of help.

Broke already.. Had it 3weeks so definitely NOT recommended for a Staffie
