Came is great condition and is a fantastic recipe book

I bought this book about 10 years ago after a visit to Thailand and have cooked almost everything in it. Not only are the recipes authentic but they are presented in the simplest possible format. Most can be prepared in a few minutes, so that preparing a top notch Thai meal, consisting of several dishes, can be done really quickly. One of my favorite cookery books.The layout of the book is clear and simple. An illustrated introduction highlights the main Thai ingredients and how they are used.Each recipe has a photo. Possibly unfamiliar ingredients have a photo too - really helpful if you're shopping and aren't sure if you're buying the right thing.Ingredients are grouped and numbered. The recipe then consists of instructions along the lines of: Put 1 in a frying pan. Cook till fragrant. Add 2. Stir for 5 mins. Add 3. Serve.This makes it almost impossible to leave out a step or an ingredient.My one criticism would be that the book is resolutely carnivorous - all recipes include either fish or meat or both. The author seems to assume that any fool can cook vegetables and frequently says, "May be served with favorite vegetables" - not hugely helpful if you're looking for inspiration for a vegetable side dish.

I collect this publisher’s range of old books as I love the layout, style and recipes. sadly this one seems lacking.I’ve not checked every recipe, but there was a glaring lack of lemongrass, odd for Thai dishes. This struck me early on so I was looking for it. I only found one, later in the book.Also the author took the easy way out and used pastes for the various styles of Thai curry. The remaining ingredient list was so short that you might as well buy a jar of paste and follow the example recipe on the bottle.The index is abysmal.If you’re a casual collector of the book range, don’t bother with this one unless you can find it very cheap.thank you seller, your part of the order process was perfect.
