Original Youngtown 12888 High Torque I Shaft Clock Movement with Hands,3/10 Inch Maximum Dial Thickness, 9/10 Inch Total Shaft Length.

We purchased this movement to replace a dead movement in a clock we liked and didn't want to replace. The hardest part of the replacement was opening the clock itself to get to the old mechanism and hands. Once the clock was torn down, removal and replacement was very easy. This kit cam with 2 sets of hands minute and hour hands, large and small. Once installed and the clock was put back together, it has been keeping great time over the last 2 months. Also, the movement is very quiet and you can barely hear it unless you are right next to it in a quiet room.Just a note - before putting your clock back together, make sure the hands will rotate fully around the clock face without touching each other. If you need to adjust them, they can easily bend so that they will clear each other. Learned this from past experience. ;-)

This clock works installed easily, the multiple sets of hands provided me with the correct length. I did end up painting the hands gold to match the other parts on the clock face. Upon installation it keeps time properly. I do suggest you take the time to carefully measure the thread and shaft length on your old works to get the proper fit. All in all for less than $10 I got an old wooden clock working as good as new.

Hands were too long or too short

Only needed the actual clock movement mechanism and not the hands that came with but was easy to install. Installation instructions were solid and mechanism keeps time for the first 24 hours without issue. Great upgrade was that this unit replaced the one that originally came with the clock that required a C battery. AA batteries are much more readily available so really happy with this.

I needed a replacement clock mechanism for a wall clock we have had for 20 years. This part was an exact match for the old one, and came with a wide selection of hands. It was exactly what I needed, and I am completely satisfied.
