great protection
We race motocross, injuries suck. The hip pads that come with motocross pants are pretty wimpy and they have zero butt protection. Over the years after a few of us had bruised hips and injured tailbones we thought we'd give these a try.For us we needed to go 1 pants size larger to fit under our pants, and it makes our butt look a little bigger, and initially like any new equipment it feels a little awkward, but after riding/racing a few times it now feels normal, we feel much more protected and now I wouldn't consider anything else, to ride without it would feel like not wearing a helmet. I can't believe we've gone this long without the better protection, I wish we'd have known about them earlier. If you ride motocross, BMX, skateboard, snowboard, etc. I would highly recommend these.

So protective!
These protective shorts are absolutely amazing. My husband was diagnosed with lymphoma and along his right hip. He had severe pain. He was told if he holds his body again. The lymphoma will come back so he ordered a pair of these protective shorts and they are fabulous for him.. these are actually being used for work as he is a contractor. These things are protecting him 360° around his hip area thighs, etc.. he wears them daily now and absolutely loves them. They are extremely comfortable for him, and He’s not worried about trauma to his body any longer so if they work this well for a type of cancer, imagine what they will do for you when you are snowboarding or skiing. Seriously, try them.!

Works great, new staple piece
Finally got a chance to use these bad boys and they worked amazing! I bought them after a really hard fall on my tailbone snowboarding. Bought them, and a couple weeks later was finally able to try them out. My tailbone was still pretty sore that trip, but none of my falls made my tailbone sore or feel worse at any point, so I think they worked pretty dang well! They fit snug and the Velcro waist helps keep them exactly where I need them. I saw reviews on other types of similar shorts that said snow pants would pull them down, and that was not the case with these and my snow pants. Highly highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised
Shorts have good padding which is the perfect amount of cushion and dampening when falling. They are made well and feel good on, they don’t show under my snowboard pants and keep my butt warm and comfy on the lift and sitting in the snow. They slip on easily and have a nice Velcro enclosure, which is nice when having to whip it out at the urinal. They are more expensive than others sold on Amazon but the quality is comparable to the price point.

XL fits XL size booty
I just got these shorts today and tried them on. After bruising my tailbone at the skating rink 3 weeks ago, I determined that I should be more careful while that heals up.The descriptions on the sizing chart made me doubtful that it would fit my 225lb size 16/18 (w) body, but I figured I'd give it a shot, I could always return them if they don't fit. They are perfect. The elastic in the legs is a bit tight but not uncomfortably so.Do they make my butt look big? No! They make it look HUGE! They are very well padded.I have not tried them out on the rink yet and TBH I hope I don't have to find out how well they protect me. But I expect that pretty soon I will have a chance to find out. I will give an update when I find out.I like how it came with a little bag for laundry day.

Soared Saved A$$!
I recently purchased three different pairs of protection shorts: Triple Eight Bumsaver 1, Triple Eight Bumsaver 2, and Soared Protection Shorts. After trying them all, I have to say that the Soared shorts stood out for their exceptional quality and superior padding.Today, I wore the Soared Protection Shorts for the first time while skating. While performing a topside stall to 180 in a 10-foot bowl, I landed hard on my bum. Thanks to the substantial padding in these shorts, I felt a significant amount of protection that cushioned the impact. In comparison to the Triple Eight Bumsaver 2, which has comparable quality, the Soared Protection Shorts offer much better-padded protection. This makes them an excellent choice for aggressive inline skaters who need reliable protection during high-impact tricks and falls.Overall, I highly recommend the Soared Protection Shorts. They provide outstanding protection, making them a worthy investment for anyone serious about skating safely and confidently.

Best shorts for snowboarding!
I've tried multiple diffferent padded shorts that are similar price, and this one is by far the best. The butt padding is the thickest and most effective out of any that I've tried. I've fallen pretty hard on it, and it really makes it almost pain free. Others really don't cushion nearly as well and will still hurt when you fall. This one fits a bit tighter and really stays in place. The velcro "zipper" creates a fit that puts these shorts ahead of the competition. It hugs your but so it won't slide down over time. So the tail bone pad stays over your tailbone really well. Also is comfortable even after 8 hours straight of wearing them. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who is learning to snowboard. Or do anything that involves falling on your butt. The only complaint I have is that they put the scratchy velcro on the side that faces your skin. So it can scratch your lower tummy. But this can be easily avoided by applying the velcro so the scratchy part doesn't overlap and contact your skin. Or by hiking up your underwear so that it acts as a protective barrier. Definitely not a deal breaker.
