Excellent if you have the right room for it
As with most reviewers I have had a look at the write ups of this product and decided to go for it.When it first arrived I was a bit sceptical, firstly it was noticeably pink, not white (the seller, Gizoo, says that all the stock that have at the moment has a "slight pink hue"!) and it did look a bit flimsy. Then it switches on it is a little noisy, but we have it ona radiator at the other end of the room. However, we have had it running for a week or so now and the room is noticeably warmer when it is running. It is a large room with high ceiling and I think that does make a difference as well as having the right radiators and a close plug socket.Would I buy another - no, but only because there is only one radiator in the house that it would work on. It really needs a flat topped radiator with a grill on top and a plug socket within a metre of the rad.Would recommend it - yes defiantly, BUT ONLY if you have a large room WITH a flat topped radiator away from where you sit AND a plug socket within a metre. If not it will probably not be very effective or just annoy you.It works for me. The only reason it isn't 5 star is because it does look a little pink.

Lots of Confusion in the reviews so some answers.
I read about this device in a newspaper but the reviews varied so much from Rubbish to brilliant and to some extent all had some truth.1. It is noisy, a little bit , about the same as a fridge, but the pads supplied reduce the noise and some places on a radiator are less noisy than others. Moving the device reduces the noise, trial and error.2. It blows cold, a little bit, when the devices senses 28 deg. it switches off but just before that the fan is on moving less warm air so if you put your hand near the fan it feels a bit colder.3. It is brilliant saves a fortune, not sure on this one. I have the booster on a double radiator so it circulates warm air. The far end of the room is warmer so I might not have to switch on the gas fire so saving money but I am not totally convinced on this one.To summarise I am glad I decided to buy the booster and it does make my lounge warmer but I think before buying you need to think what you are going to use the device for.

Effective but loud.
This lasted almost exactly 3 years to the day until the fan completely died, and I've just replaced it with a Radfan Classic. There's no nice way to put it: the fan is loud, but tolerably so. It's also remarkably effective. The biggest problem I had was that the fan points sideways along the radiator (which in my case goes towards a corner) rather than out into the room, but the fan pushes enough air around to stop that really being a problem. The room I had it running in is fairly large with very high ceilings, and generally is poorly insulated, and the temperature difference by using this was always noticeable. It helped spread the heat around the room much more than I ever expected. If you're happy to live with the noise (as I was), this is well worth a go. The Radfan is much more expensive, much quieter, and (having only had it for a few hours) possibly more effective.

IT DOES THE JOB BUT!!!!!
Having read various reviews of this product i was still skeptical ,but then it came up in which reviews of the 10 eco products that they recommended so i took the plunge.Delivery from amazon is as great as ever and the product is very easy to set up.Its thermostatically controlled so red indicates power is on,the light then changes to green when your rads reach 30*c and the fan blows heat sideways into the room,so it does what it says it does.HOWEVER the fan installed into this makes rather a lot of noise for such a small fan they say in the instructions it will be as loud as a computer fan its not its much louder.Seeing this is now the mk3 model im disappointed you would of thought by now they would ironed out its noise issue.on that note i boxed it up and have returned it for a refund, its a shame because had the fan been quiet i would of kept it and would of rated it 5 stars.

It's OK for our needs
Despite the very mixed reviews this product has been given we bought one on the back of the 'Which' report. We bought it specifically for our hall [long and narrow] which has always been cooler than the rest of the house and, after a week or so in operation, we have noticed a small improvement although I doubt whether much benefit would be felt in larger rooms. Yes, as other reviews state, it does make some noise from the fan when in operation which might be an irritant in a bedroom perhaps but is of no consequence where we have it in the hall. It has a fan at one end of the unit only. If there was one at both ends it might perform better but then there'd be twice the noise!

it seemed to work well and you could feel the heat with your hand a good foot away from where the fan was
tried the radiator booster MK3 in my 16x12 study as I often found it really cold even with the hearting on. tried it today with the booster and it felt warmer. it seemed to work well and you could feel the heat with your hand a good foot away from where the fan was. after an hour the room was really warm and it took maybe 10 minuets after the radiator went off for the light to change from green to red. the fan is noisy and I can hear it above my computer and that had 7 fans in it as it a top end computer. it was not that noisy that it anode you or distracted you but it is there.for the price I think this is good and will have to see how long it lasts. the fan is a little computer fan and they hardly ever fail.

Not as good as ver's 1 & 2
I have used these radiator fans since they were first released and that has been for a few years now. I have 5 (ver 2's) of them spread over different rooms. One of my version 2's gave up the ghost and decided to give the ver 3 a try.It does the job (poorly IMO) but it is noisy and when the radiators start to cool down it continues to pump out cool air which defeats the purpose of it (it starts when the rad reaches 30 degrees it continues to run until the rad drops to 28 degrees) I have this placed at one end of a long rad (6 feet) with a ver 2 at the other end and the ver 2 alway cuts out well before the ver 3 which means that it (ver 2) does not push out cool air.So points lost for the cool air blowing out and for the noise.Ernie
