When you've got to go
A new Pixar animation movie. Another sequel to Cars. Yes, it's the sequel nobody was demanding.Having seen the first two Cars films will help you get into this, there being no introduction to most of the supporting characters. But it shouldn't be too difficult to get to grips with them if you haven't.Lightning McQueen lives for racing. But suddenly he finds nothing lasts forever. He's not the fastest anymore. A new generation are better than him when it comes to speed. So does he just give up on the sport that means everything to him? He has life choices to make...There are good and mature themes in this. The best pixar movies should work for all ages. And there's solid drama here about having to make life choices. But it's really not a well balanced script. The balance between comedy and drama doesn't really work, there being, like in the good dinosaur, too little of the former and it feeling rather forced when it comes along. The villains of the piece aren't the least bit villainous or threatening. And it doesn't really know how it wants to end, not really having the guts to definitively make this the final film in the series. Thus the finale is far too inconclusive.Beautifully animated as ever, but lacking in the writing department all in all. So not one the older folks will get much out of.But there are some positives:1: The irritating Mater barely features.2: It will keep some of the kids quiet for a while. And for the makers another one:1: They'll buy more merchandise as a result. So for some, it does it;'s job. There is a scene after the very end of the closing credits. Nothing of consequence though. The disc has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English, Italian, Turkish.Subtitles: English, Italian, Turkish. It begins with trailers, which can be skipped via the next button the dvd remote. And they can be seen in the sneak peeks section of the dvd anyway.Extras are:A commentary from various of the production staff.Miss Fritter's racing Skoool: a two minutes long cartoon that takes place after the end of the film, and catches up with some of the other characters. It's reasonably amusing. But there's also Lou, the usual short cartoon that played before the movie in cinemas. A story of a bully learning a lesson. This is very nicely done and does pack in a really good emotional punch in it's short running time, so it's worth it for this.

Great Buy
Perfect condition in original packaging. Definitely not a bootleg copy. A fabulous film. Ticks all the boxes - a good story that appeals to children and adults alike, with an exciting race scene at the end. I love the way that the Cars movies chart Lightning's journey through life from Rookie, to established racer and in this film to racer nearing retirement. The usual blend of humour, cool music, emotion (sniffle!), pace, morals and great animation. Get out the popcorn and enjoy.

Good family fun
Can't say I was a fan of the original cars, it's ok, although better after watching a couple of times. Bought Cars 3 on blu-ray whilst cheap and on offer, probably still prefer Cars 2 from the series but still enjoyable and adds to my collection. Great picture/sound as expected.

Good family film, especially if you have a car mad young son
Have seen Cars 3 get some quite tough reviews, saying its the worst Pixar film of all time etc but I still think an average Pixar film is still better than most films out there. Maybe not as good as number 1, but me and my Cars fan, 2 year old son really enjoy it and are often quoting bits of the film to each other. My advice, dont take it too seriously (it is a film about talking cars) and dont go in with any expectations and take it for what it is, a fun film continuing the story of some much loved characters whilst introducing the next generation should they choose to continue it

Absolutely fantastic!
Have awaited this films release since we took my 2 year old to see it in the cinema. Like everyone else on the planet we loved the first film and hated the far out approach taken in the second so was hoping the third would salvage it which it did!The film in summary is McQueens final race journey- he is getting old and is being outdone by the newer smarter faster cars just like we see on the roads today. He takes some different and unique approaches to train for the big ‘last’ race and is joined by cruize and mac (with the old cast making an appearance too!!)Overall it is a family fun real racing film which I would highly recommend this for any age!
