Wonderful pepper. Lots of flavor but not a lot of heat. Order was shipped quickly and the product arrived in packed perfectly and in perfect condition. I will purchase from this Spice Way again.

So Yummy!
Oh my!!! I have started enjoying cooking and eating a Mediterranean diet and found this pepper to be the one ingredient I can't do without! Aleppo Pepper is used in so many Mediterranean recipes. I love it sprinkled on meats and veggies. Perfect on hummus. Not spicy hot but adds a building warmth. This "Spice Way" brand is becoming my all time favorite. Always fresh, flavorful and fragrant, the three F's I look for in spices and herbs. Spice Way packaging is foil, air tight, zip-lock pouches, that keeps the moisture out and the flavor in. This 4 oz, pouch cost me about $7 making it a great value.

Hint of Spice
I have never cooked with Aleppo Pepper before, but I really liked it in the dish I made. It had some spice but nothing that is too much. It added a nice flavor to the chicken I made. I paired it with the Sumac spice, and it was very good. It seemed very fresh and sealed nicely in package.

Good Product
Very tasty. Rich flavor with a little heat. I love it. A bit pricey.

Better than red pepper
I love this type of pepper. It's less about heat and more fruity than red pepper flakes. Absolutely amazing on hummus.

Great pepper- great for garnishing as well!
Love this pepper!!! It is not too hot, but has a good flavor. You can cook with it, or as I do most of the time, I use it as a finishing pepper- I top my cooked vegetables (Broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, etc) with it- not only for the extra flavor but also makes a great garnish. I keep a little covered bowl of it on the table.

A Tasty and Interesting Addition to My Spice Cabinet and Grilling Regime
I ordered this brand because it had good ratings from folks who seemed to be experienced cooks plus it was a good value. My understanding is Aleppo is a more complex flavor of a mild chili. It's not supposed to be hot on its own, but can be combined with hotter chili flakes if desired. I used it on smoked chicken legs grilled on my Ninja Woodfire Grill. I loved the complexity of flavors it imparted on the chicken legs. I will also be using this as a finishing spice on certain dishes. I think it would be great on pizza! When I want a hotter chili with less complexity, I'll use standard red pepper flakes. As a side note: tasting it straight out of the bag does not bring forth the interesting flavor medley nearly as much as when cooked in the food or topped on already prepared food.
