Bright, cheerful and plasticky - and beware the 'shuffle' limits!
A good, basic, small sized Mp3 player with a few useful extras. The feel is light and to be honest, even with the rubbery outer skin, a bit plasticky. But it does the job well enough, and has a good battery life. As usual with such cheaper devices (and some expensive ones too, it must be admitted) it is recommendable to invest in a pair of decent headphones. As I have mentioned on another review for a similarly priced device with likewise specifications, those who like to use the 'shuffle' option most on this ought to be aware that, as far as I can determine after a lot of fiddling, the device's internal card only 'sees' about 800 songs in this mode and with a 64G additional micro card (the maximum) only a further 4,000. This is fine of course if that is all you ever want - but for the rest of us, it hardly seems worth investing in all that extra capacity if one can only access a proportion of it! I can imagine this handy little player, bright and cheerful, would be ideal for a beach or where the risk to that over priced Apple product might be worrisome.

Excellent but annoying on and off button
An excellent MP3 player that is an updated version of the aptek player. Easy to navigate but annoying you keep having to press the on/off switch to switch on the screen and use the screen when the screen switches off! It would have been better if the volume button and next button worked while the screen was off and as you touched them the screen came back on. I know itβs all designed for you to use the controls on the in line volume and skip buttons on the earphones but it is annoying because other people may like to use their own headphones or earphones.Sound quality is very good and great great battery life of 80 hours on a full charge. Takes 3 hours to charge up.No usb plug supplied but you probably have one already to charge the player up.Inbuilt 8gb storage for playing your music and this also plays videos too in the format you need to convert them to. The tools for this is supplied in a zip format can be found in the folder of the player when you plug this into your computer or laptop. An expandable memory of up to 64gb can also be used in form of tiny tf cards which slot into the side. All in all an excellent device but let down by the on and off screen button. It has a lovely digital clock when you switch on the screen though with counting seconds and analogue digital clock to choose from. If you love music this is for you and saves your phone from getting filled up of music and the battery running out!The device also has a FM radio which works fine with earphones which double as the aerial. An option for recording from the radio and sound recorder and an e book reader too. Options for a calendar and stopwatch which is handy to have and also sound settings of different equaliser settings and your own custom equaliser settings also options for display settings for brightness and screen time out or for screen to stay on all the time.A very good MP3 player at a very good price!

Does what it needs to
Item arrived in a brown little box which includes a USB for charging some earphones a manual and the MP3 player. What can I say the item does its job, it's very basic and just a standard MP3 player. The quality is what you would expect from the price paid, i gave the player to my son to use and he loves it, I'm afraid it's too basic and standard for my liking. The sound quality is ok, I won't say it's bad but good enough for my son to listen to what he wants, downloading the music onto the player is quite simple once you know what you are doing.Overall I would recommend for kids but if you want high quality and top of the class this is not the item you want. But my son loves it, and is very happy with it. Thank you

Very pleased especially for the price (replaces my Sansa).
For the cost of this player I am very pleased with it. It has an aluminium case which has the feel of quality and a micro SD card slot for adding more capacity. It is very compact. The video screen is adequate but not hi-def as you might expect. The radio is very good in the area I live in but the headphone cable needs to be fully extended but not necessarily straight. Transferring tracks is easy from a PC (drag & drop). Sound quality is good (for me) although I don't use it for music, only audio. Volume/equaliser adjustments are possible. The instructions are quite good for a product from China where good English seems difficult for them usually, but it is fairly easy to work through all the functions and setting once you use the player. There is a slider off-switch which could be a problem after a lot of use and I would prefer a "hold to shut off" button. One thing to note is that playing a long audio comprising several files (e.g.a book) the files have to be numbered correctly or they can be listed and played in the wrong order. For each recording, if this happens, I re-number all my tracks starting 001, 002, 003 .... etc and this solves the problem for the MP3 recordings I make for long journeys and split every 10 minutes.

Very good player with reservations
Came on time - well packaged, with easy to understand instructions. Bought this to use with only music, but I have used it to record speech and found it to be excellent in this respect. The downloaded photos tend to be rather grainy and too small for viewing, and I have not used the video side yet so don't know how this would look. The radio side is a little insensitive and was unable to pick up Classic FM, where other receivers I have, have no difficulty in the area I am living. As for the e- book I have not used this function. On the music side I found it easy to download tracks into the root folder or even create new folders to contain specific tracks. Selection of these folders is easy or you can just play back the whole of the contents. Sound wise I found that it seemed a little "light" on Bass but this is not a problem for me but could be for someone who likes to have their head blown off.Overall I have found this unit to be all that I require and I am very happy with it.

Screen Freezes
You can make 3 playlist on this device but it sometimes plays up and freezes quite a lot I might try buying another one just to see if it was just that odd one that did it of if they are all like that. I will let you know.
