This is a great workbench: very solid (unlike many others) and made of good quality wood. The workbench is very good, but the instructions are crap. It’s straightforward to assemble if you’re experienced at DIY, but a total DIY novice might struggle.Several things make assembly less hassle. Firstly, the original screws supplied are rubbish and snap easily. Instead, I strongly recommend buying some WoodSpur or UJK screws (both available online from Axminster). This will save a lot of swearing! Secondly, drilling pilot holes will make for a lot less grief. Thirdly, you’ll probably want to use a countersink bit to avoid the screw heads sitting proud. Finally, the workbench comes untreated, so I’d recommend using a decent quality wood finish, e.g. Liberon SDO500 500ml Superior Danish OilOptionally - and only for perfectionists - more experienced DIYers might like to use a low angle block plane to chamfer the edges and smooth any imperfect endgrain (e.g. Quangsheng Low Angle Block Plane with 38 & 50 deg Blades). My finished workbench looks great and works a treat.

More than satisfied with the product.
absolutely brilliant workbench. Arrived earlier than expected delivery, which was a bonus.Very easy to assemble, 25 minutes. All parts fit correctly, with the correct amount of screws.all parts planed.bench all square on completion, and is sturdy, which is what you would want for working on.I finished my bench off by treating it with two coats of Teak Oil from a local store, two bottles required at £2.80 each.the Bench looks brilliant in my garage, and inspires me to do more jobs, my wife is very happy. lol, enjoy..

Solid bench but frustrating putting together
Nice looking bench when finally assembled. A couple of section pieces were splintered at the ends, about 3" long in both cases running inwards and along the breadth, which I glued in placeIt was good that holes were pre drilled ready to attach and secure..........but it was one hell of a job getting the brass screws to pierce the adjoining wood pieces. Half way into the join, the screws slowed to a halt unable to go any further without a lot of downward muscle pressure, albeit with caution, and then only in very short burstsConclusion, managed to finish project, taking far far longer than expected and with a lot of frustrationScrews provided, were not up to the job of piercing wood sections, absolutely better quality definitely neededAdvice to anyone who is thinking of putting this table together........don't do anything until you have drilled pilot holes, otherwise you will end with jammed screws. Definitely a two person job for the positioning of pieces for pilot drilling. If you do this, it should be no problem. It will take longer obviously, but will save you a great deal of annoyance and aggravation

Great product
Read some comments around screws being bad etc, but used the ones contained in the box and worked fine. Very easy to assemble, place the legs on the floor, add the sides, flip it over, same again, then add the bottom and top, took all of 15 minutes to assemble. Only comment I would say is the wood could have been sanded\smoother, as it's a workbench, had some rough bits, bit a bit of sanding will do the job. If you're looking for a large workbench for your shed or garage, would highly recommend. *****

It all went together fairly easily but it would have helped if the screw holes had been pilot bored and countersunk, but on the whole I am quite pleased.
