It's good for small rats/mouse.System is clever and well built. The door springs are very soft and safe. Once the trap closes, it stays shut relying on a ratchet lock rather than the spring, which is very nice.The system also doesn't require you to hang the bait on a hook like traditional systems. You can just place it inside, loosly. The trap triggered is the floor itself, which is very sensitive.Excellent product.Just be mindful of the size. Read the dimensions on the product listing

Why did you pick this product vs others?:that's really good product and you can really catch the rat easily without any hassle just make sure the bait is worth the apetite of rat to get lured in.

Efficient, value for money, easy to clean.
Amazing product with simple and efficient design. Metal sheet at critical points makes the product robust so that rat/mouse won't escape. Mouse once trapped will remain inside until you release it. Caught almost 40 rats/mice in just 20 days. Somedays 4-5 in a day. Real Value for money. Easy to dismantle, clean and reassemble.

100% effective... Absolutely recommend it.In order to catch a mouse in my balcony, I first bought a sticky glue trap. The mouse got stuck on it, but managed to release itself and thus escaped. Then I bought another brand glue trap...unfortunately, same result.Finally, I came across this HASTHIP RAT TRAP CAGE and I gave it a try...BELIEVE ME !!!...Trapped the mouse on the first attempt and my Mouse-problem is now over.

Works for Rat only
The trap functions effectively for larger rodents, but smaller ones can easily escape; a stronger spring mechanism would improve its efficacy.
