Quick Coupling 25 mm 1 " Tülle (System Geka )

Anyone serious about gardening and who uses a garden hose should get these type of hose couplings. The hose couplings are for life once you've got them there is no need to replace them as they don't wear out. If you need them then you can get the  Original Geka Quick Coupling Seal One Size Fits All Pack Of 5  quite cheaply.I bought a few 1 inch couplings because I have a large pump and 1 inch hose pipe but the couplings are standard across all the hose sizes so if I want to join a 1/2 inch hose to a 1 inch hose the couplings will join them. Most people would be using 1/2 inch fittings as standard.What I do at the tap end is have a 1-2m length of hose connected to the tap so the hose doesn't quite touch the ground and put a quickcoupling (Geka coupling) on the end of the hose. That way I can connect any of my hoses to the tap and easily fill watering cans if necessary.Edit> Just to point out these are not genuine Geka couplings although they say System Geka in the description.
