I need to strip and repaint my soffit, will I also need a primer?

No, its great paint and its self-priming, it dries quickly though so don't attempt to paint with it in this heat.

Do I need to use a knot sealant before using this paint, and can it be used over wood painted with garden shades.

I think the best result would be using a recommended base coat over new wood or older sanded down wood as for using over colour it isn't something I can comment on really except you would be sure to need more than one coat

Can this product be used on wood inside?

If I remember correctly we only used it inside on the woodwork.
