This is handy for reading hard back books, but to hold it in a comfortable position, it blocks lines of text, meaning that you have to use both hands to readjust, rendering it a bit cumbersome. With paperbacks, it forces the book open to a point where the spine creases, which is okay if that kind of thing doesn't bother you.
