A Costly Confection
Watching Lisa Allen's Kendal Mint dessert in the North West heat of the Great British Menu (Season 5) gave me an insatiable craving to sample this storied British candy; the experience was worthwhile and did not disappoint. My order arrived from the UK almost a week ahead of the earliest estimated delivery date; it was well packaged and undamaged despite its long journey over the Atlantic. It had a good 10 months left on the expiration date, and it tasted fresh, clean, and delicious.Though the photo of the cover of the tin shows that the tin contains 2 bars/cakes, I understand why some customers misinterpret the "2 pack" description as meaning 2 tins. The vendor probably should clarify the description to avoid confusion. Even with two 85g/3 oz cakes, the price is rather steep; I suspect that the price of the candy is meant to offset the "free shipping", which seems fair given the costs of international delivery.Ultimately, in my estimation, the price is worthwhile to experience such a unique, flavorsome, and legendary treat. I can't wait to try the variety pack with white, brown, and chocolate variants and even better to make a pilgrimage to the English Lake District, where this divine delight is made.

Perfect for side leg pocket
A must have for all Get Home Bags and EDC in a cargo pant side pocket. Takes a while to arrive from the UK, but worth the wait. Been using Kendal Mint Cakes for over six decades and nothing else comes close.

Mmmmmm Good
Tastes just like the middle minty part of a York Peppermint Patty.

Portion sizing is misleading at best
Pros: the mint cake is so yummy and I would suggest it to anyone as a treatCons: the listing here is misleading, resulting in my paying more than I feel is representative of good valueThe product arrived safely and in a timely fashion. It is well within dates and came in a lovely tin. The cake is more dense than soft butter mints tend to be, but definitely more like a dense brick version of a butter mint than it is like a hard candy. It is a bit weighty and can be difficult to break, but it is perfect for nibbling as a pick me up. It is delicious. However, the tin is twice the size of the “pocket” version pictured which makes it a far less effective gift to my outdoorsy type/hiker relative. Based on the title description, I assumed that I was purchasing 2 times 170g of mint cake (which is how I would interpret “pack of 2”) in a convenient pocket size. I was unclear if it would be two tins or two 170g servings of mint cake and only 1 tin. Upon receiving one rather large tin containing one, 170g cake, I looked more closely at the pictures to learn that the pocket sized tin is meant to contain two 85g bars. I did not receive the pocket sized at all. I did not receive two of anything. So! If you purchase this, please understand that you are buying 1 bar in a long tin which totals 170g. It is not a pocket tin, there is only one bar and the total weight of the confection is 170g in either case.If you want an attractive, explanatory tin and don’t mind the size, it may be worth it to you to pay this price. If you simply want the confectionery cake, I would suggest that you can purchase more cakes at a better average price by purchasing several bars at once from a different listing. If you want a small tin to protect a portable serving of the cake for hikes, I don’t know where to look - but this is apparently not the right place.

Only received one tin.
While I enjoy these mint bars, they were advertised as a pack of 2 but only received one. This makes it a poor value imo.

perfect yummy
Thank heavens I don't live in the UK as I would turn into a mint cake! So every so often I go to amazon and order a couple. problem is they never last very long. I had my first Kendal mint cake over 30 years ago in the town of "Kendal". What a beautiful little town, and boy oh boy can they make candy. So if you are a mint lover and haven't tried one...go a head. Live a little and enjoy.

Easy to break off small little pieces to enjoy but you’ll definitely find yourself wanting more and more!! Such a smooth, creamy, delicious mint flavour. Will definitely be purchasing more! Wowza - Mint to the Max
I read about these mints in a Mercedes Lackey science fiction/fantasy book. Looked them up - and they are a real thing! They come in a nice metal box. You don't need much - the mint is very powerful. With a cuppa tea they are just the right touch.

Great mint and collectible tins!
Best mint cakes EVER! The original, in fact. And the cases make it even more convenient and secure, no snapped mint cakes while travelling. Plus, you get a great tin for carrying around other things once the mints are gobbled up.
