My cat hates these, and that’s the point!
These spiky pads successfully deter my feline counter-surfer. They’re easy to move around when I need counter space, easy to cut with regular scissors to fit narrow places, the spikes nest so you can overlap them and move them around as a unit. I tried two-sided tape, and it was terribly hard to get the sticky residue off my stainless steel counters. There are enough segments to cover all my counters. I’m a happy cat-mom now.

Works
Good for keeping the cats off the counters. They definitely do not like walking on them. Lightweight, you can cut them with good scissors to fit in smaller or irregular surfaces.Take your time with these. They take some getting used to. One unexpected benefit. It keeps other nuisance animals, like my roommates, off the counters, too.

A great deterrent
Definitely works, easy to cut to size if needed, good thick plastic.

Ya that didn't work
So I installed it all over the kitchen counters. 5 mins later one of the cats jumped up, knocked a piece off and was playing with it on the floor. Later on, the 2nd cat jumped onto the "spikes" and starting making biscuits on um.

They really keep the cats off!
I was shocked that they really kept the cats off the counters! We did have to place them to where they stick off the edge a little bc if you leave a little edge, they try to jump up there. They also link together if you overlap them. Very well worth it!

Keeps Cat off furniture
These spiked mats have successfully kept our cats off the new furniture. We just stapled the sheets together to make them easy to remove and place on the furniture.Prior to these mats, one or both of our cats had pee'd on the seats all three of our new pieces of leather furniture. They never did pee'd on the old furniture that was over 20 years old. Guess they just didn't like the change. We are wondering how long me might need to keep using these to discourage the cats from attacking? Any thoughts on this?

Great Amount for Price - Not for Kittens/Smaller Cats
I was impressed with the amount of mats you get for the price you pay, as I was able to cover all of my countertops with a couple extra to adjust as I needed. I would note that unless your cat is larger/heavier, these "spikes" will not work as intended, as the discomfort is from the weight, not from sharpness (which is what I wanted.)Pros:-Good value for money, you get a lot of mats for the price-There are holes on either side of the mat to connect with zip ties/etc, or you can slot them together by stacking the last row of spikes-Stack nicely and can be stashed away when training is done/for future use-Easy to clean if neededCons:-Not for lighter cats, the cat's weight pushing them down onto the spikes is what makes it a deterrent

Very Hard
They will work, but the spikes are much the harder than they need to be.
