Glue is an eye and skin irritant and is also liquid, so stove door must be removed and laid completely flat. Drying time is likely to be days, however the rope fell off on first attempt adding to the mess. Job took two hours as I had to clean all the glue off the door, hearth, stove and rope, then had to dry rope and then fix with a premixed fire cement instead. Rope's fine, but glue is a complete waste. I wish I had taken notice of the other reviews.

Good adhesive, stuck my fire rope to my log burner very well. Four stars because it is actually very messy to use. Good product though, just would have liked a warning to wear rubber gloves.

After using this for approximately 6 months it is starting to fray and fall apart. It would appear to be sub standard. No doubt have to fit a new one before next winter.
