These ankle boots are certainly warm but they are more of a slipper than an actual boot. They even look like a slipper. They are nice enough to wear around the house all day and walk up the street for the mail, but I wouldn't go trekking in the woods. And it is true what previous posters stated, there is a chemical odor that is still present after wearing these for more than a week. These are slippers, not boots.

Ordered these but returned them because they were too large. (My fault) but my wife decided to not re-order a smaller size.

I love these boots! they fit as expected, are the correct size, and very warm! I wore these out in the rain and my feet stayed dry. I would still spray them with a protection for caution. I would recommend buying.
