Heiwa Pouring Kettle w/ Bamboo Handle, 1.2 litre (Bamboo lid)

I love the kettle and i love the bamboo handle. Unfortunately, the bamboo knob on the lid has already split and broken apart. We've only been using the kettle for 3 weeks. I'm curious if this is a common problem with this particular kettle? I contacted the company, and although they were quick to reply, they cannot replace the lid or knob. I'm not sure if the kettle is worth replacing if the same problem is going to happen again. I would love to hear the experiences of others who have bought this kettle.

Super cute kettle but after only a week or so of use, the wood glue would start to melt every time I would heat up the kettle. Now, after a few more weeks of use the entire wooden knob on the top has fallen apart, and off completely. Super unfortunate as I love the look, it just is poor quality.

Sleek design. I like the wooden handle. I received this kettle in March, it is now 2 months later and sadly the bamboo top has already split and now just pops off. It just comes right off of the screw. I wouldn’t buy this one again.

Pretty and functional

Although fully functional, the wood aspects of this kettle fell apart and required repair after about 4 months of regular use.

The kettle started off okay during the first month and then after use, I noticed that there was an odd residue that was coming from the top knob. I didn't think much of it (simply cleaned it during a daily wash) until through the course of the next few months, I noticed that the knob started to crack until eventually the entire thing just broke off in pieces. After the knob broke off, I realized how kind of gross the contraption was. There's almost no way to clean under it.I figure maybe the bamboo wasn't designed well enough to handle being on the kettle.Overall, a big bummer. I should have gone with something else.
