Absolutely indespensable!
Changing the front wheel bearings on a 2010 outback that spent it's life in NJ before ending up in the south. Watched a YouTube video of someone using one of these and I bought it before I even began the job.The tool came with an assortment of nuts to go over the wheel studs. Unfortunately there are no M12x1.25 nuts. Had to run to the hardware store for that but I can't really expect that they would send every single nut for every car.I bolted this on after removing the badly rusted screws. I put the shock absorber pads on the strike plates and began taping. Tapping turned to harder and harder swings until I was beating it like it stole my weed. Had to use a pry bar to persuade it a bit more but it finally came out. The rubber pads are a mushy mess now but I don't think I would have been able to do this in a reasonable period of time without this tool.If you have to change a wheel bearings on a vehicle with rusty spindles, just spend the money and buy this or you'll be heating and beating for hours.

Didn't fit but with a little thinking, ended up working great!
This was quickly delivered by Amazon without issue. The problem came when I tried to attach the hub shocker to my old hub on my Jeep XJ. The studs were too short to fit the hub shocker, nut, spring washer, and flat washer. It wouldn't even fit with just the nut and flat washer. I did some thinking and ordered 2 longer studs (Ford F150). While waiting for those, I soaked the seized hub with PB Blaster. Once the longer studs arrived, I was able to easily mount the hub shocker onto my hub. I used a 16-pound sledgehammer. One hit is all it took.I wish I ordered this tool sooner for the passenger side of the Jeep that I had already done. This 2-week project would've only taken a day. I hate buying tools that only have one use or function but this one is worth getting. It's also safer than trying to swing a hammer on the hub. The axel spindle threads were safe from getting hit again. If you have a lift, you might not need this. I'm no mechanic and I have no garage. This helped me A LOT.1 star taken off for the trouble mounting with my stock studs. Also, the mounting hardware is really cheap. The nuts worked fine but flaked and threads warped. The flat washers are bent. Not sure of their longevity. Good thing they give you 2 sets.

Works awesome and well worth the money!! 💰
The media could not be loaded. 5 stars just isn’t enough!! I replaced both front hub assemblies on our 2013 ford flex and it worked like a charm!! The hubs were really seized in there from the rust up here in the northern part of the country and it still made the job easier. I really wasn’t so sure about it but after reading the reviews I decided to go with it and am I’m happy I did! I personally felt that if you install the padding that comes with it the blow from the hammer just sort of bounces of but the blows end up tearing the padding off anyways. The washers that come with it seem a bit weak but other than that the tool works great! The hooks and gloves are also nice which I used the hooks and it made it easier to keep the caliper out of the way.So if you need a tool to remove the hub assembly I say go for it!! Pair this tool with some PB blaster and you’re all set👍

Tool works...
I didn't have an issue with tool or construction but I needed to go to hardware store to get properly pitched nuts. The tool came with a set of M12x1.5 thread but bolts are M12x1.25. If the nuts supplied were used they would ruin studs on old hub. Using the correct nuts it took three hits with 16# sledge hammer.

Takes a beating and works!!! holy eff it does
So this is my first e er Amazon review.. This product took a beating on my last 3 wheel bearings. After 10 hours on one i needed something to beat them out on my subaru.I thought i was wasting money but that was definitely not the case.Yes its dented but it held up. last three took 5 hours .Sounds like a long time i know .. on my other cars usually an hour per wheel.Look up subaru wheel hub videos ,they are notorious for heat/rust "welded" to housing.THIS THING IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooks not included.
All looks good. But hooks didn’t come. Not a big deal but if that’s one reason why you are ordering don’t.

Big, Heavy, Strong...
This thing is massive. The plate is like 3/4" thick. It really is a solid tool and yes it absolutely works. The only thimgs that bother me is the fit/finish of it. Its obvious the tool wasn't cleaned up to well before it was coated. Also, the holes are super close to the end. Its unneccessy to do that and it creates a weak spot for a tool that should be unbreakable.
