Reliable and easy to use.
I was apprehensive having read lots of not-so-good reviews of similar products. This one works well for me. The sockets are pre-coded so you don't have to re-program anything if the power goes off (some other product reviews mentioned this as an issue). The range also seems fine. I had one socket in the garage over Christmas to control the power to external lights. It's about 15m from the house and the signal had to go through two external walls. There was definitely no requirement for 'line of sight' operation or needing to be close the the socket to operate it.The controller layout is slightly quirky with the on/off buttons for channel one being arranged vertically rather than horizontally (like channels two and three) but so far I am very happy.

Isn't it just so nice when something you buy - just works so perfectly
They arrived promptly. Isn't it just so nice when something you buy - just works so perfectly. In case you wondered .... you don't even have to point the remote at the socket (like you do with a TV remote) - these send out a radio wave that bounces off everything - even if the socket is hidden behind a sofa or chair - it still gets the signal and operates perfectly. It's so handy not have to keep walking around turning things off and on by hand. I've just ordered another set for another room - at this fantastic price - you can have these everywhere. Don't think twice - buy.

Good unit. works well but watch power consumption
Nice little units that work very well. I use one to switch a microwave oven which has the power socket hidden behind it. Assuming they stay reliable it's a great way of controlling equipment with hard to access power sockets. Bear in mind they do absorb power continually, so may not be a green option in the bigger picture. They get noticeably warm so may actually use more power then the unit you might be trying to save standby power on! Amazon should quote the actual power consumption of all these remote switches - even if only a couple of watts it's already more than a modern TV on standby and that works out at about £2.50 a year in power costs for each unit.

Just BRILLIANT!
Bought a set of these a few years ago which are still working perfectly, so no hesitation purchasing these again when I needed extra ones. Plug them in straight from the box and within seconds, hey presto they program themselves. There are cheaper ones out there but these are quality and proven to be reliable. Update........just purchased another set (previous ones bought still working perfectly) without any hesitation as these are so good.

Very poor reliability
Rather unimpressive reliability. All three switches initially worked well. Then over a few months there were progressive failures. Only one now remains functional. Best avoid if intended use is for more than a few months.

They are fine, but you might prefer db equivalent for an elderly person
This is quite interesting. I first got a different make (db) which have a single on/off button for each channel making them good for elderly people, and I recommend them. I then wanted another set, but to avoid cross-talk I got a different type - these. Which are not quite so good because the have separate on/off buttons for each channel (so 6 buttons instead of 3). They are reasonably spaced and sensibly laid out, but my elderly relative prefers the simplicity of the db layout. Both types are simple to fit - just plug-em-in and off they go. The most challenging thing is trying to remember which device is plugged into which socket - and even that isn't very challenging 'cos they are clearly numbered. There is nothing to set up at all. And if you want to reconfigure them, it's easy - just swap 'em around. And yes, you can run an extension lead from one to fire up several appliances from one button (subject to normal electrical loading). So, with that proviso (too many buttons) I really recommend.

Well worth buying.
Bought these for some strip lights I have in the kitchen, where the plug sockets are hard to reach to turn them on/off.This product is ideal for the job.Well worth the money I paid for them.

Magical
Super fast delivery (not longer than 48hours)!Does exactly what it says on the tin, the remote came with a battery. After setting it up I plugged in the control sockets to test them and everything worked a treat. I am very happy with this product and I recon I will be buying more and I will be recommending friends and family. Plus it was a really good price. Exactly what you see in the picture you receive.
