Worked great. Make sure you understand how you will power the device.
Totally performed in my application. Like I said, finding the right power took some time and I wished I had been more prepared.

It works just fine
Its a decent product, and works as advertised. Not overly strong, but this was expected of an inexpensive 5v electromagnet.

Weak magnet
Yes it's an electromagnet but no it doesn't come anywhere close to the claimed 50N strength. Inflated specs in Amazon product descriptions are very frustrating. The practice is effective in increasing sales, but it's deceptive and penalizes vendors who are accurately reporting their product specs. I returned this unit and am leaving this review with the hope it may incentivize more accuracy in product descriptions.

VERY weak
Mine doesn't work, just like 1N force (I got the 50N one). It's drawing ~0.7A@5V Anyone figure out how to make them work? Or just lots of duds?

BE ON ALERT
This solenoid can overheat, no internal protection against it, BIG First hazard if left on or must design circuit for it before use.

Pretty Strong
Works great for our application. My son used it inside of a glove for a cosplay superhero costume. He powered it with 4 AA batteries in a battery box. It won't catch a meteor from the sky but it will hold some fairly heavy objects for its small size.
