Guitar Gig Bag for 3/4 Size Guitar

I bought a guitar for my son's birthday, and decided - right from the start - to get him into the habit of looking after it, so bought a protective case. He's only 10, and hard cases are both expensive and heavy, so I opted for a soft one. Not having much experience with guitar cases, I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for, though now I have it, here's some things I'll look for in the next one we buy.1. It's completely floppy - I was hoping for a little rigidity, either in the bottom or the cover to help it hold its shape. Which would have made it harder to ship, but would make it so much easier to get the guitar into. A completely cloth case is really tricky to get the instrument into unless you lay it out flat, open it up and place the guitar into it, and even then it's a bugger to zip up afterwards.2. There is a pocket, and that's useful enough for spare strings and whatnot, but it's not quite deep or wide enough (and we're talking millimetres here) to fit a standard-side music book into. It's too small by a hair and that's very frustrating.3. The front pocket has no extra room in it (it's not designed to bulge out toward the front, but sits completely flat against the guitar). If you want to keep all your stuff together and have bought an electronic tuner, metronome or even a little tin of plectrums and whatnot, be very wary - it'll just take a knock in the right place to let those items damage your guitar. Particularly as the pocket sits over the bridge and the strings, I'm really worried about damaging the instrument.4. The back has 2 back straps (like a rucksack), not one (like a messenger bag that goes across your body), which makes it fussy to carry over any kind of distance. And it makes it very difficult for a child to carry it if they have anything else to carry at the same time (school bag or whatever).I'd definitely NOT use this as a "gig bag" - it won't protect your instrument at all. It's certainly serviceable as a dust cover, but I have no faith in its ability to protect the guitar from damage. And, really, all that could have been improved by the addition of some hard material (even cardboard!) inside the top cover and a sewn-on front pocket that came outward (like on a rucksack) instead of holding items right against the wood.It gets two stars because the item was dispatched quickly, was well-packaged and is otherwise well-made. It's just atrociously designed and I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone planning to give it to a child or who will be taking their guitar out and about with them.

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson who has quite a long walk to his Guitar lessons, this case is great as he can use the straps and put his Guitar on his back like a ruck sack. He loves it, and it's so practical i would highly recommend it to anyone who has to carry their guitar while walking.

Fits guitar well but was not made of as thick material as others I have seen. A little thin but will serve it's purpose fine.

I ordered this case for my son's half-size junior guitar and find it perfectly OK, roomy and good quality for such a low price, and it arrived within two days of ordering, very happy.

Fairly good quality bag. Serves the purpose for carrying your guitar around.Somehow, it doesn't provide sufficient protection for your guitar.But at this price, you can't really argue with that.
