Unique and elegant watch
My wife was delighted with this Bulbul Pebble watch. She was initially somewhat surprised by the large size of the watch-face and we noted that Bulbul do describe it as unisex. The overall vibe of the watch though feels very feminine. You will need a flat-head screwdriver to lift the catch mechanism, which allows the strap length to be adjusted. It's quite easily achieved though and the clasp snaps shut with a quality feel to it, ensuring the watch won't fall off your wrist. The subtly asymmetrical face provides a classy and slightly quirky feel and the blue strap retainer provides a little coloured contrast to the whole grey/white pebble motif.Seems rather pricey for what you get, but it is undeniably a very stylish, minimalist dress watch, which any woman with a taste for the unusual should appreciate.

Nice simple design but cheap packaging, difficult to adjust and no instructions.
First the good points - it's a simple, easy to view fashion watch with a nice contrast between the white and black, with a slightly random blue strap retainer. For the price however the whole experience is disappointing. It comes in a very cheap looking box, with no instructions on how to adjust the watch or the strap. There are two blue strap holders - silicone with visible joins. The unboxing experience is poor especially compared to something like an Apple Watch, which is in a similar price bracket (different audience possibly, granted). The strap isn't magnetic or even vaguely user friendly. It requires a screw driver to lever up the clasp then a hit and miss process of moving it up and down until the watch fits, at which point the clasp has to be forced back down - yes, no screws or bits to lose, but nto easy or intuitive. Strap isn't magnetic so it's a case of making sure the clasp is engaged. Nice heft once on.The glass, advertised as sapphire, is not anti-reflective. Comparing the face on this to another watch i have with a high end glass, the difference is clear, with lights reflected. In short, while a clean design with a nice heft, this seems massively over-priced for what you get - just can't see how the price point (£399 as of February 2017) is justifiable.

Designer wear
This is heavily touted as a designer watch with that Scandi cool which is so trendy currently. However, the designers and manufacturers need to think a little more about the practicalities. The watch face is huge, which is a little ironic seeing the detail is stripped bare. It's also quite heavy, so lives up to the pebbles which were the inspiration for the design. Luckily I didn't need to adjust the strap, so thankfully didn't have the difficulties that another reviewer has pointed out re the lack of instructions. The strap and clasp are strong, which are features I was looking for especially after the demise of another watch and its flimsy clasp I reviewed recently. The guarantee comes with a list of exclusions which makes me wonder if there is anything that actually is guaranteed. There's a surprising lack of documentation that comes with this watch. Mine has also come with a prominent speck of black dust on the white watch face. At the price I would have expected better quality control. To sum up, it's a triumph of style over substance, though to end on a more positive, it does tell the time.
