DC Comics Superman New 52 Artfx Statue

This statue is absolutely fantastic! The New 52 costume is what really (literally) shines, with its proficient paint application and sculpt: pictures just don't do it justice! Sure, fans have mixed feelings about not having the original red trunks, but we have to remember the original Superman costume was (most likely) based on what circus performers would wear at that time, hence the 'underpants' over the actual pants. It's now the 21st century and it makes sense (at least to me - and I've been a fan of the character all my life) to give him some sort of make-over and make him relevant to modern audiences. The cape is also different - with the S-logo in black as opposed to the usual yellow in older DC figures - but superbly sculpted, hanging in a V-like shape which resembles the tip of an arrow and hints at Superman's speed. The only aspect of this figure that I'm not all that fond of is the head sculpt which has a bit of an anime look to it (after all it is made by Kotobukiya so what can we expect!) and I personally would have preferred a sculpt much closer to Jim Lee's art. That being said I think this is a great statue for any collector - especially if you're a fan of the New 52 series - and highly recommend it!

Overall very impressed with this statue. Very good and solid build as well as feel. The base is very cool idea with it being magnetic so the figure can be at any angle you want. The paint work is very slick and professional. A must have for any dc superman fans

The title says it all. The metallic paint is gorgeous and the level of detail is pristine! The magnetic stand is really handy for changing the position/angle of the statue; although the magnetism itself isn't really that strong.

Amazing detail has gone into this New 52 Superman figurine. Comes with a platform that magnetises the figurine quite securely in place. Looks great on my shelf and will look even better when the other 6 members are released.

cette figurine de l'homme d'acier est superbe,je commence ma collection de la ligue des justiciers et cette figurine de superman est donc incontournable.comme toutes mes différentes figurines de chez Kotobukiya elle est vraiment très belle et détaillée et les couleurs sont sublimes.si vous souhaitez une belle figurine de superman pour pas trop cher foncez c'est un tres bon rapport qualitee prix (comme toutes les figurines Kotobukiya)

I wanted to buy a figure but some of them are just really expensive, I myself prefer figurines over action figures and so when i saw this Superman and the price combined with Amazon Prime I decided to buy this item. The Justice League box it came in had a few scratches which for someone that likes to collect the boxes like myself...this was just a tad disappointing but nonetheless, Superman looked fantastic. I like how shiny his suit is, the sculpture on his muscles, the cape looks great with an S symbol on it. The magnets worked well and the only thing I would think someone might have an issue with is his face...maybe it's just me but he looks a tad asain...either way I've gotten used to it and I don't regret this purchase and this is coming from someone that does not like Superman.I'll definitely buy more Kotobukiya products.

I mean, how do you rate a statue? It sits there. Not moving. Inactive. It does exactly what I expected it to do. Which was nothing, so I got my money's worth and then some on that mark. If you're still reading this, then I suppose I should honestly tell you that the level of detail is excellent for the price. I've always been a fan of these types of statues, but they usually are too highly priced. This is an excellent statue at an excellent price. If I had one gripe, it would be that it came off as a little on the glossy side. But, that is a minor factor in my overall satisfaction. I will definitely be purchasing the rest of the new 52 DC line up. Oh, the little magnets in the statues feet to help it stand on its display base was a very nice feature.

Una figura que está muy bien del nuevo Superman de cómic y que está bien realizada tamaño bueno y con una base que está bien podía ser mejor pero esta bien y con imán en la base para sujetar la figura que está genial

Bellissima action figure della Kotobukiya che fino ad ora non mi ha mai deluso, anzi! Veramente ben realizzata nei minimi particolari e naturalmente completa della base magnetica per l'esposizione. Veramente un ottimo acquisto!
