GPS has a learning curve, it is not as easy to use in comparison TomTom Tom or others. I usually have a TomTom with me when I travel, so I can go by that. I have not found a way to update the maps, and some roads are not recognized by name, but maybe by route number. In a few instances, I would have been lost if I didn't have my other GPS with me, but for the money, I think it was a good deal. Radio and DVD player are good, and I like the idea of playing music on a thumb (USB) drive.

I bought this radio several years ago when it was being sold under the VR3 brand. There is no current support for the GPS software. When I purchased mine I searched high and low to find any type of updates. I was able to find a guy who made a custom skin for the GPS display, and a friend found some map updates for it, but there have been no new updates released since that time, and the updates he found are no longer listed.Aside from the outdated maps, the GPS works very well. I've never had an issue of it not finding the address I entered, even the address for my parents house which a newer Magellen standalone GPS I had couldn't find. I have found using a stylus works the best when trying to use the touch screen. Especially for entering GPS info.Radio works great as well. You can change stations using either the touch screen or the remote. I prefer the remote for most tasks. If you hit the function button while listening to any audio source it will start up the navigation software without interrupting your audio source. Main issue is you can not control the volume for the radio or mp3s while using the GPS. You have to hit the function key to toggle back away from the GPS screen, which does not stop the navigation routing or navigation voice prompts.The MP3 software is not very good with this unit. You can organize your music by files on a USB drive or SD Card, but however you have it organized on the media device is how it is organized within the MP3 software. I was also able to connect my phone through the USB input with the phone in media device mode and it played the mp3s off my phone using the head units MP3 software and charged it at same time. Or if you want to use the phones MP3 software use the aux input port that comes with head unit.I could never get it to play movies off a thumb drive or SD card, but it played DVDs just fine the few times I have used it for that. The screen is kind of small to watch movies on, but it was enough to keep my 6yo daughter occupied on a cross country trip, and I could still use the navigation while the movie played using the function button to toggle back and forth.Another problem is you can't adjust the audio option for the EQ while still listening to audio. So you have to go into the sound adjustment menu, make and adjustment then exit out and go back into radio, or aux input to see if you like the change. I have a full aftermarket speaker/amp set up in my truck, so I just left all the EQ sliders centered and let my amps take care of everything. You also have to turn the subwoofer on anytime you reset power to the unit as it is off by default. Once again, using the stylus helps navigate through the menu screens since you have to do it all through the touchscreen.Overall it is a good head unit with a lot of features you will pay at least double for in any other head unit.

I received my radio a day early. I Like it. EZ hook up. Wasn't looking for a fold out screen but this screen does slide out a couple inch.s and folds up to receive a disk.The screen also has a tilt 4 positions. GSP looks good haven't tryed it on the road yet. It does play DVD Movies not sure but think u have to record them. Tried a DVD movie from the store just kept wanting to load might have been that movie haven't tried any more yet. Its only been in my truck for two days now radio comes in clear. Nice for the price...

Sorriest radio I ever installedAs soon as I turned the unit on smoke from the rc jacks burning up, touch screen no longer works and when using auxiliary u can hear the truck engine on your speakers terrible buy l.

This dvd/gps player is a bargain if you can get it for under $140 . Like stated the GPS Support is not the best So if you do lots of cross country traveling I suggest you spend more money on a better GPS system . You can save a home in a work location. It does give you options for different turn by turn voices. I like the British woman's accent. The GPS will briefly interrupt audio playing thru the radio or DVD player smoothly. My biggest issue with the radio is a simple one, "time display " . It does not show time on the radio stations or while playing a DVD. There's no button to press to check time. I have to go through the settings just to check the time unless unless I'm in GPS mode. So if your running late and needa to check the the time, its safer to check it on your cell then pressing the 3-4 button sequence on the radio. Other than those things it's a decent gps radio for the price but I wouldn't dare pay over $140 for it.

I bought this because it was single din. It's basically useless. If you want a good single din GPS radio check out the Power Acoustik PNX-721. It's $100 more but is worth every single penny of that.

I have owned this unit for 12 years works Great, easy to hook up and I have it hooked to a JVC Amp. GPS works Great no problems, CD and DVD player work perfect, I have no complaints and would recommend, I installed it myself in my 1988 Lotus Esprit. I am getting ready to purchase another one to have as a backup, 12 years and counting who know how much longer it will last but at that price that is 10.00 a year.
