Phoneplus Amplifier for making voices on telephones louder and clearer

This device was purchased for a friend of mine who was really struggling to hear incoming calls on her telephone despite having an instrument recommended for the deaf. I installed the amplifier and adjusted the base to the device as I was advised to do by the seller who incidentally was very helpful when I called to clarify some points. My friend is delighted with the amplifier as she can now hear every word that is said, as a consequence I would truly recommend the amplifier to anyone who is struggling to hear incoming calls.

This product does not work no matter where you have the volume slider at, it may be a faulty one I just don't know? I must say it is easy to install, but it made no difference to the volume of my phone when I listened to a voicemail, so I rang my Brother to see if it worked better when I rang out, but he couldn't hear me at all, even though I could hear him "not any louder though", he rang me back, it rang as normal, but he still couldn't hear me, but I could still hear him, but still at the phone's normal low level , when I took the gadget off the phone it was back to the same normal low level, and now he could hear me again. So this product is a waste of money! I would like to return it for a refund please?

We have a very poor landline and the phone guys can't seem to fix it. Sometimes on our phone, caller voices are very quiet, sometimes they are normal. This amplifier has two controls : Volume and Tone. I would like it to amplify more. The amplifier can only just about manage the quieter calls. The tone knob seems inert to me. What is really needed in devices like this are two knobs, one to adjust the lower frequencies and the other, the higher frequencies. The lead which connects the unit to the hand set is about 12 inches long; it ought to be a metre at the very least. The unit isn't expensive, it is probably worth what you pay, but I am looking for something else.

My grandparents were really struggling to hear the phone and this product was a life saver. Very easy to install and once you have plugged it in that’s it don’t need to mess about whenever there is a new call which is extremely helpful. No issues and would recommend - volume is excellent as well

After years of "shouting down the line", after installing this device I could finally have a civilized chat with my aged father who was partially deaf. The device enables the listener to regulate both volume and tone. Highly recommend it.

Already purchased before for hard of hearing in-law who loved it so much he got me to order others for fhis friends. This I purchased for a close friend but regrettably it was not compatible with her phone. The seller was most helpful and sent a different type which again failed to sort out the problem. So we ended up getting a new phone with the amplifier already fitted. I have to say the seller was so very considerate and gave an immediate refund so no-one left unhappy. I would give him 5 stars for service and I would be happy to return to him should I have other purchases of this type to make.

A little bit awkward when lifting the telephone hand set but does a splendid job. Just what we needed.

The actual amplifier was very nice and neat in appearance. The only problem was that once it was fitted and someone phoned me I could hear them but for some reason they could not hear me. Hearing Direct was most helpful, sending me a replacement but it was obviously my telephone which was at fault and not their amplifier. I have now ordered an amplified telephone from them direct.
