Easy to use and control the temperature. Be careful about how you pick up the item as it has a cheap plastic cage around the fan, underneath. Without realizing this I picked up the first one I owned and broke it. Despite this I did buy a second because I enjoyed the instant heat. It is a time saver as well as energy saver.

NuWave has a stellar reputation with years of customer satisfaction and a solid product line. I wanted to try their induction cooker in my RV to supplement my microwave. I needed a low energy item with quick and easily adjustable temperatures.Make sure you buy a model that will best fit the base on your metal pots and pans. For a single cooktop the 8" metallic cooking surface was perfect for me. I did need to buy a couple pots/pans with full magnetic metal bottoms. That is required.NuWave offers an easy to read, quick-use sheet, a great warranty and stellar customer service. I highly recommend their product line. They do not disappoint!

Wonderful works great

I like to deep fry food occasionally but not in my house. I do not want to stink up my home. I thought I could buy something like this and keep in my outdoor kitchen and use it to deep fry when needed. This is easy to use and easy to clean and is great for normal everyday cooking. However, it struggles with heating speed. It took about 15 minutes to get a small pot of grease up to 375 deg. Because it took so long, I let it go to 400 so the temp drop wouldn't be so bad when I added food. When I added 8 wings, the temp of the grease dropped to around 320, which was expected but it took almost 20 minutes to get back up to 375 which resulted in my wings being in grease that was not hot enough which made for rubbery wings. Works decently just not for deep frying and heating back up quickly.

We originally purchased a Nuwave cooktop as an accessory and it quickly became our main mode of cooking. We liked the induction way of cooking so I replaced the electric counter top range with an induction counter top. I pulled out a Nuwave cooktop we had put away so our dog sitter could use while we were on vacation. We again began using the Nuwave as our main mode of cooking because of the more precise heat settings than our counter top. It is now our main mode of cooking again as the counter top remains idle.

This is my first experience using an induction cooktop, and I absolutely love it. The controllability of the cooking temperature, even-heat across the whole bottom of the cookware, and speed of heating are excellent compared to my standard flat surface range top (which is average at best). Induction is definitely the way to go.As to deciding to order Amazon Renewed over a new cooktop: I didn’t know if I’d like induction and I did not want to be into it for a lot of money if I hated it, so Renewed made sense for me. Amazon had rated the condition of this cooktop as “Excellent,” and I was perfectly okay with a few cosmetic flaws as long as it functioned as it should. When I unpacked it from the box, I have to admit I was a little confused. There’s no other way to put it: what I received was brand-new and I saw no evidence it had ever been used and/or returned. So don’t be afraid to check out their Renewed products next time if they have something you’re looking for.

I had one of these when they very first come on the scene that was many years ago and it just recently I decided I better get a newer one and it's the same quality works great you can do anything on it and it's very safe you cannot get burnt

Bought refurbished option thinking I could save some money. Read all instructions carefully, but the unit kept shutting off and giving error messages within 1-2 minutes. Eventually realized the cooling fan was inoperable, causing unit to shut down as it overheated. Very obvious malfunction shipped anyway. They must not test them first. Thought the company might offer something. They told me they couldn't help without giving them invoice info available only in the Amazon app. I ordered from the Amazon website and I don't use apps. They never replied so I returned to Amazon for a refund and plan to buy from a different company. Very disappointing.
