DYLON Hand Dye, Fabric Dye Sachet for Clothes, Soft Furnishings and Projects, 50 g - Smoke Grey

I love this! I was just looking for a quick easy dye that I could do by hand (as opposed to machine).Instructions WERE too long for me and I’m not a fan of reading 😴So, I just dissolved in warm water in a bowl (plastic)I didn’t wash the material first (as it suggests) I just wet and squeezed it out it so it was damp, then put the mask in.Just enough warm water just so that they were fully submerged.Then realised I should’ve put salt in so added probably a 2-3 tablespoons GENTLY stirred/turned it (obviously don’t want to splash the dye)Had a shower, came back, rinsed them out, perfect.So no I didn’t follow the instructions I didn’t stir it for 15 or 45 minutes or what ever it says, as I couldn’t be bothered.Once they finished dyeing I put them on a short warm wash in the washing machine with detergent, then hung them to dry.I thought because the masks are cotton and this is dye, what can go wrong?If I can stain my T-shirt with baked beans I’m pretty sure I can stain these masks with dye.They’ve come out like a denim-look grey (but it depends on the texture of the material you’re colouring, my face masks are COTTON).There is a pink tinge behind the dye because of the original colour of the masks (pink), and because they were probably scrunched in water they’ve come out slightly patchy, but not noticeable.Depending on how precious your items are I would suggest following the instructions so you don’t get slight patches. Me, I wasn’t bothered they’re only face masks.They look great!

Highly impressed, follow the instructions is important, check first your garment match’s the requirements.I wasn’t sure this would work. I wanted a grey jumper and had a wool cream jumper, you got it! Excellent outcome and a beautiful even coverage. Will likely do this again as I have a number of wool garment which I would like to change the colour.Highly recommended

Used this dye to re-dye sum cargo trousers that had lost/worn the colour out.This was an easy process to do just follow the instructions on the packet, the only thing that is not said or advised at purchase is that you will need 250gms of salt (this is to help it take/fix the dye) apart from that there is not a lot else I can say as I have yet to find out how many washes it takes until the dye fades.Also note it is highly advisable to wash hand dyed garments separately as dye can/will possibly bleed and then dye/colour other garments in your wash !

Not that good, I followed all the instructions , dyed my shirt which was white and it just did not work, I even ordered another pack , but both came out the same with horrible orange dots here and there and not a uniform colour dye, I went for grey and ended up throwing it all away

Needed a particular grey on a white canvas belt for a ghostbusters costume build. Had tried more expensive dye with no success. Then discovered the type of material mattered. This was the recommended stuff. Brief soak and let dry got the perfect mottled grey I wanted.

Très déçu du résultat, j'ai déjà utilisé Tintex et le résultat était A1 mais pas ce produit, je ne recommande pas ce produit, achetez Tintex.

Gamme de teinture de qualité, facile à utiliser et ne dégorge que très peu sur les lavages futurs.

Habe versucht ein Kuscheltier damit zu färben,leider mit wenig Erfolg. Farbe nimmt nicht gut an.

This shirt was made of light green linen, which I wished to change to a gray color. I'm a baker, so following recipes/instructions is second nature. Unfortunately, this fabric dye completely destroyed my shirt. I purchased several other color dyes from this brand and will return them as they arrive. I do not recommend this product.

I used this item exactly as directed and it didn't even put one bit of color into the fabric. It just doesn't work. Save your money
