My 13 month old dog has taken to barking recently especially when she wants her ball thrown or my granddaughter is here and she’s in the kitchen with the stair gate closed (she’s still pretty excitable and my granddaughter is just 3), we tried other gadgets including a high pitched hand held one which she took absolutely no notice of, but this collar has worked wonders, took a little fiddling with how tight to have it for it to be effective but within about 10 mins was sorted and fully working, activates when she barks a second time but omitting a beep, another bark and it’s a longer beep, the next one sets it so give the longer beep then a vibration for a few seconds, no harm to my dog at all but it really does make her stop barking constantly. I only really need to use it when my granddaughter is here or if we are out in the garden and she decides she’s not the centre of attention. It’s not recommended to be on for more than 6 hours, or for the dog to be left alone wearing it, longest my pup has had it on at once is approximately 2-2.5 hours. I can highly recommend this if you have a dog that likes to yap

Could the seller please contact me if this sounds like a faulty product, as I'd really like for this to work the way it should.Size and fit for my 4kg mini dachshund was great. Unfortunately I think this product is faulty. The vibration will be set off a long time after my dog stops barking, so I don't think she understands why it is happening. For example, she barks and it beeps correctly. Then she barks another couple times, more beeps. Then she could stop barking for a good 5 seconds and it will vibrate. I expected it to vibrate whilst she is barking, not after. I am not able to correct the behaviour when it isn't vibrating at the right time.

We have three little chihuahua’s and two off them like to bark at their own farts! So we purchased these collars to stop them from barking. They worked well for a couple of days but then the dogs quickly learned to move the collar round the neck, doing so let’s them bark with out making them vibrate! Clever little so and so’s. I’m unable to return due to window has closed, so now back on the hunt for something else.

My situation....I have a miniature dachshund, who is perfect in every way, except he usually barks at other dogs who he sees, and also people who dare to say 'hello' to him. This is awkward, and makes our walks quite tense. We end up avoiding dogs by crossing over and spend our outings apologising to people. Our dog must sense this. He is 3 in Jan 2023, so we had him on the very first day of the first covid lockdown, so he had poor socialisation, as we weren't allowed out ofcourse. I was chatting to another dachshund owner with her silent dog just sitting there whilst I was apologising (as usual) about the barking. She suggested this collar. We ordered it. It arrived the next day, as did, by email, a video about it. It comes with two batteries, so one is a spare. It also has a blue and a pink changeable front, so will suit all dogs. We ordered the small version as our dog is small (I worked that out for myself!). We clipped the collar on, and went on our first walk. The point is, that to start with, you WANT your dog to bark so that it beeps and he learns. So, with with positivity we strode out and actually headed for other dogs. We had a spring in our step and a new confidence. Our little dog barked, but crucially, only once. The collar beeped (it automatically progresses to vibration is the barking session continues), and our dog stopped, looked a little confused, and carried on walking. When he does bark, we immediately say 'quiet', so links the beeping with quiet. Today, on day 5 of the collar, which we always remove in the home, we walked along a busy sea front past several dogs....not a sound. In a shop he barked once at an assistant, but in another a woman gave him a cuddle...NOT A SOUND. HE IS NOT UPSET, DISTRESSED, OR WORRIED ABOUT THIS COLLAR. if he was we would not use it. Result....we are all less stressed during and after walks. This makes for a happy doggy and doggy parents! Definitely try it. The aim of course is to train the barking out, and not have to wear it long-term.

I bought this for my .. Have a guess.Yep, Yappy Dachshund.Barky little sod. Simply telling her to stop isn't enough and whilst we are always training to be quiet, I'm still fed up of having to constantly convince her that a treat for not barking is better than barking. We go through a whole 5 minute routine of convincing our dog to not bark, and she does listen .. eventually at her own leisure, but I just don't want to spend 5 minutes convincing her to stop every time a car drives by.This was definitely worth a shot given the reviews. Sadly, it just didn't seem to always activate when she started barking so half the time it was useless. When it did activate though, it stopped her immediately as our dachshund is a little wimp, so she immediately realised something was vibrating on her neck and was more concerned about that.She cant wear it all the time as the little prongs do look uncomfortable when she lies down, and its hard to predict when she is going to bark or sleep, it seems that whenever I had not put the collar on, everything sets her off, and when i put the collar on her nothing happened for the entire day.As i said, on the rare occasion that she had the collar on AND something set her off, the bloody thing didn't register her barking.So id say give it a shot, for us it wasn't the best. I have ordered a pet corrector spray and have had far better results as you activate it when you need.

I thought this product was amazing and it worked great .... For a time. A few months in the collar started beeping without stopping even after taking battery out and replacing. I sent this to the company through warranty and it was replaced. The same thing has happened to the replacement and it's only 6 months since my original purchase. I'll be going elsewhere for a replacement this time.
