I am the first to say there are a lot of running books to choose from; but there has never been one like this! This book covers everything every runner at every level needs to know. It is well written and extremely informative! SO glad I purchased it!

Interesting book by the Mayor of Running
The book is a good summary of races of all types along with some recommendations from Bart Yasso on his favorites. Each chapter is full of good tips learned from Bart's personal experience and some recommended training plans which worked for him. A good introduction for beginner runners, and a good read for experienced runners.

Book in great condition. I really was just interested in the last chapter as an aging runner and passed it on to my niece.

A great book and training...if, you can follow it all
Really nice book with reviews of several race events. THe training schedules are great and if you can follow them all then you can become the ultimate marathon runner ^^

That's It?
I can't say for sure what exactly I expected out of this book but I don't think it met my expectations. The book itself is great for beginners trying to find their way and get started. The information is clear, concise, easy to understand and follow, and very well written. The tips suggested by Yasso for tackling each distance are alright.I guess for the price of the book I expected it to have a little more meat to it. Some of the races he discusses on how to prepare for I will never run in my life and have no interest in doing so. I would have liked less information on how to prepare for that specific race and more for how to prepare for that distance overall, beyond what was already discussed.
