OXO Good Grips No-Spill Ice Stick Tray

I use this ice tray with my S'well water bottle. The long thin ice cubes it creates are ideal to fit in the mouth of the S'well 500ml bottle. I've recently ordered a third S'well bottle so this tray is seeing a lot of use this summer. The lid reduces the possibility of spilling water after filling up. Like all Oxo items I own it's well made.

Effective design, easy to find a freezer gap for it. Simple to fill, just run the tap, press the silicone lid down thoroughly, squeezing and tipping the excess water out into sink. Then it's drip free and can slide into your freezer. Makes 12 skinny ice sticks (can't call them cubes), that are perfect for putting into water bottles etc. The ice sticks are about 5 cm long. Someone answered a question saying the sticks are 3/4 pint, think they meant the whole tray uses 3/4 pint. Looks good too.

After using this for a couple of months I felt I should leave a review. I love the stick shape to fit into drinks bottles and the lid on it, however it does state no spill - it does! 95% of the sticks come out broken too. I have tried with cooled boiled water, filter water and tap water - all the same. Broken. Disappointed by such a good brand.

Was sceptical when it arrived and I filled it then squeezed the excess water out as instructed; I wasn't expecting it to seal as well as it did but it works perfectly. It's bigger than I expected though and just fits in my freezer.

This is great if you have a sho or chilli water bottle with a small neck. The ice cubes fit perfectly and such a clever design with the over flow bit and the lid. It is a little expensive but you get what you pay for this is great quality and a great design, highly recommended

The cubes are perfect for bottles however even using filtered water, the plastic cover flavours the water in a very bad way. I ended up removing the cover which drastically improved the taste however still not as neutral a flavour as a regular ice tray. If you're someone that can't taste differences in water then it won't matter but if you can then i'd probably advise against it!

Love this item, it is a little more expensive than the trays without lids but so worth it as it's way better quality. I specifically wanted one with a lid and this one actually helps with draining excess water before freezing so the ice freezes a lot quicker. Would definitely purchase again!

Perfect! The ice cubes fit into water or soda bottles beautifully. The cover prevents water slopping everywhere when you open the freezer drawer. A quick twist freed all the cubes. I suppose the only downside was that it only makes 12 at a time. However, once we got into the rhythm of emptying the cubes into a freezer bag and refilling we had plenty, even on the hottest days. Best buy all summer.

Eisstäbchen sind optimal, um Getränke direkt in der Flasche abzukühlen, ohne dass man erst mühsam Eisbrösel herstellen oder die Flüssigkeit umständlich umfüllen muss. Bisher habe ich für die Produktion Toppits-Beutel für Eisstäbchen verwendet, fand diese aber aber nicht optimal. Geplansche beim Befüllen, fummelige Entnahme, bei der viele Stäbchen zerbrochen sind - und natürlich unnötiger Plastikmüll, da die Tüten nicht wiederverwendbar sind. Somit war ich auf der Suche nach einer Alternative. Für Eiswürfel in Stäbchenform gibt es leider nicht viel Auswahl an Formen, die meisten sind dann auch noch ohne Deckel, so dass ich mich schnell für das Oxo-Produkt entschieden habe. Als die Form ankam, war ich erstmal etwas erschrocken über die Länge von 35 cm - ich hatte die Maße vorab nicht kontrolliert und mit einem kleineren Teil gerechnet. Aber sowohl die Schubladen vom Gefrierschrank als auch das Gefrierfach vom Kühlschrank (beides Geräte mit 60 cm Breite) sind dafür breit genug, von daher also kein Problem. Insgesamt könnte man die Form jedoch etwas kompakter gestalten. Der Silikondeckel dichtet gut ab, die Eisstäbchen nehmen keine Gerüche an. Bei den Toppits-Beuteln kam es hin und wieder vor, dass das Eis nach längerer Lagerzeit einen Hauch von Schnittlauch (oder was sonst so im Gefrierfach lag) angenommen hat - das konnte ich bisher bei den Oxo-Stäbchen nicht feststellen. Die Entnahme funktioniert sehr gut, sofern man darauf achtet, die Mulden nur bis knapp unter den Rand zu befüllen bzw. überschüssiges Wasser vor dem Einfrieren abzugießen. Wie bei klassischen Eiswürfelformen reicht es aus, wenn man die Enden der Form leicht gegeneinander verdreht. Dann sind die Eisstäbchen bereits gelockert und können sehr leicht entnommen werden (mit Druck auf ein Stäbchenende auch einzeln). Bei der aktuellen Hitzewelle gebe ich morgens immer 2-3 Stäbchen in meine Wasserflasche und genieße es, auch am späten Vormittag noch ein einigermaßen kühles Getränk in der Tasche zu haben. Da mich das System überzeugt hat, werde ich wohl auch noch die Form für klassische Eiswürfel bestellen. Bei der Stäbchenform handelt es sich um dieses Produkt: "OXO Good Grips Eiswürfelform, Silikon, Grün" bzw. "Eiswürfelform mit Silikondeckel" im Auswahlmenü. Da die Bezeichnung Eisstäbchen in beiden Beschreibungen nicht auftaucht, wollte ich dies sicherheitshalber noch erwähnen

Ottima idea questa vaschetta. In pratica ha una base con una specie di "fossato" attorno allo stampo, per svuotare l'acqua in eccesso. Utilizza una copertura che è una sorta di "foglio di silicone" che copre il ghiaccio per evitare che resti a contatto con le altre cose nel freezer. I ghiaccioli a forma di sigaro si estraggono facilmente per via della forma che hanno dato allo stampo: premendo da un lato del sigaro, si solleva dall'altro lato. Consigliatissimo.

A avoir absolument dans son congélateur... surtout l'été quand on n'a plus le temps de mettre nos boissons au frigo assez longtemps pour les rafraichir ! Au moment de partir au bureau ou en balade, on remplit sa bouteille... et hop, à travers le goulot de la bouteille, on y glisse 1 ou 2 glaçons... et c'est parti ! C'est très bien d'avoir pensé à cette forme de glaçons... pratique et efficace ! Je recommande cet achat pour les adeptes qui ne peuvent pas se passer de boissons fraîches !

Way easier to release the sticks from this tray than any other trays I’ve used, the silicone lid makes it really easy to fill and it being able to hold water at 45 degrees is a godsend for packed fridges.
