For the price it's a no brainer - detachable mount very useful
Safety wise, for children bike lights are a must. If I had my way I'd send my kids out with Tron outfits on - just too many idiots playing with their mobile phones on the roads. Firstly loved the price - with the lightning deal I picked this set up for 6.10 plus tax - that is soundly in the "worth a chance,....what do you have to lose?" territory. So even though I bought this some time ago, I only yesterday mounted it on my child's bike, along with a Vont Pyro USB rechargeable light I had just bought that I mounted for my other child's bike. They're both sub 10 years old and really traveling far on bike so getting lights on bikes is the no brainer necessary thing to do. Part of my commentary comes from a comparison between this and the vont pyro. Mounting System The biggest item for me is the mounting system. The BV bike set has mounts that can be fixed in place and the lights can be clipped on or off pretty simply. It's true that the front light takes a little fidding to remove the light from the mount, but once you do so, it's a defacto torch (RoW English name for flashlight). My youngsters would have a little trouble mounting / demounting - there's a reason I gave this to the eldest. So it's very capable - leave the mounts in place, and if it's really dark you have a torch to illuminate your path up the driveway. The mounts are sufficient for my needs - sure they're plastic and seem ok but if I were a competitive mountain biker, you'll need something more rugged mount wise. By comparison the Pyro lights have rubber band like connectors that wrap around your handlebar and seatpost. MUCH more difficult to put on and off and here's the kicker - you need to do this often because there is no separate mount - the pyro lights are effectively LED lights with a clip at the back and the rubber band goes under that clip. Not at all child friendly but some nice bright lights once on and USB recharegeable. Batteries Back to the BV lights - they're not rechargeable - in the front you have a pack of 4x AAA (aka "triple A") batteries. In the back you have 2x AAA. You could argue that I could use rechargeable AAA batteries with the lights, and I would if it were for me, but my children LOSE EVERYTHING - rechargeable batteries are not cheap. So the Pyro wins out there. Light Intensity Compared with the Pyro the FRONT LIGHT of the BV is easily brighter. The pyro is good enough but seriously the BV is enough to burn your retina out ("It burns! It burns!") - again reinforcing its use as a torch when you get to your destination. Flip to the rear light though and the Pyro is slightly, only slightly brighter than the BV but the pyro is also I think wider with 3 separate lenses making it more visible. Not much in it though. Overall value: At the price I paid ( $6.10 plus tax) I think it's a great deal. The front torch dual use is of real value and the much easier ability to mount / unmount really helps - you put your mounts on (you'll need a Philips screwdriver to tighten it up) and that's it - leave the mounts in place. Can't comment on the battery life. Can say that even if it's 20 hours, I don't care - I'll put in new batteries and the kiddos can be on their way. hth Dingo

Excellent Purchase - Five Stars!
I recently purchased two BV Bike Lights for myself and my husband, and they have truly exceeded my expectations. Here's why I'm giving them a well-deserved five stars: Super Brightness: The 5 LED bike headlight and 3 LED rear lights provide exceptional brightness, significantly improving visibility during nighttime rides. It's a game-changer for safety. Easy to Install: The installation process was a breeze. The design of the lights makes them easy to attach and remove, adding to the overall convenience. Reliable for Night Riding: These lights have become my go-to choice for night riding. The illumination they provide ensures that I feel secure and visible on the road. Overall, the BV Bike Lights offer a fantastic combination of brightness, ease of installation, and reliability. If you're in need of high-quality bike lights for nighttime rides, look no further. Five stars well-deserved!

Both Lights Work Perfect For Cannondale Criterium 3.0 Old Race Bike.
⁃ I am refurbishing an older model barn-find Cannondale 3.0 Criterium SR2000 Race bike. I needed this safety light set as an important accessory for dusk/night time riding. ⁃ I also purchased the BV strap on Saddle/seat bag to accompany this safety light set as my older saddle bag had outlived its usefulness. ⁃ The safety light set comes with a pictorial that shows how to install the lights to the bike. ⁃ I bought 6 AAA batteries for the 2 sets of lights. The back red safety light takes 2 AAA batteries and the front clear safety light takes 4 AAA batteries. ⁃ I used a coin to open the red safety light as per the pictorial instructions. ⁃ For the back red safety light, I attached it to my BV saddle bag and it fit perfectly onto the saddle bag cloth handle which is very handy and looks like it’s made specifically for clipping a safety light. Since it’s the same manufacturer, the light fits perfectly. ⁃ The reason I attached the back red safety light to the saddle bag is because the saddle bag occupies the space that the red light mount and accompanying red light would ideally be hanging from. ⁃ The front mount for the front light comes with 3 rubber spacers. On my bike, I used the outer 2 spacers. ⁃ To fix the front mount, you’ll have to remove the nut attached to the screw. I used a small adjustable wrench to remove this nut. This nut will be useful as it’s going to connect to the screw that holds the mount on the opposite side. It’s impossible to have a tight fit without using this nut on the opposite side of the mount connection at the bottom. I have attached pictures to show what I mean. ⁃ I used a CRV-PH2 screwdriver head to screw the attaching screw. ⁃ Once the front mount was firmly affixed to the handlebar, I then slid in the front safety light itself. There is a reassuring click at the end and it stays secure. To remove it, simply depress the small ‘lever’ at the end and it will slide right out. ⁃ On a ride, the front light stays firmly on the mount and doesn’t bounce. The back red light also stays firmly on the saddle bag. ⁃ The red light is bright enough at night and will alert traffic and people behind you. ⁃ The white front light is also clear and will illuminate approximately 500 yards (1,500 feet, 0.3 miles, 0.45 km) ahead of you. Probably not ideal for 45 MPH race speeds but good enough for the decent ride home at dusk. It works well both for completely dark areas and occupied dwellings with night street lights. ⁃ The various steady and strobe features on both lights work well.
