Quick and easy to install, very smooth- almost too smooth, chair moves around a lot more than with the original casters, but they are very quiet and definitely won’t scratch the floor. The only real issue is that these wheels raise the chair height just enough that my feet no longer touch the floor- which was the main reason I got this chair (it had a setting low enough that I could reach the floor-I’m 5’3”). I’ve made a makeshift foot rest for now to accommodate. These wheels are otherwise great. If you’re taller than about 5’5, then you’ll have no issue with these wheels.

I bought these to replace the original casters that were on my daughter’s desk chair. The original casters became completely entangled in two years-worth of accumulated hair and dust that the chair no longer rolled. Rather than spend hours in cutting away the entangled hair on each caster (5 in all) I decided to replace them instead with these Lifelong Office Chair Wheels, and man what a difference!! The chair rolls so extremely well now I have to turn and look before I sit down to make sure it hasn’t rolled away from me (which I think is actually a good “problem” to have!). Now if I can only get my daughter to do a better job at cleaning her room. ;-))

I bought the silver variant of these to match the base of my chair as best as possible, which is polished aluminum. Overall the construction of these are ok. My chair came with very similar 'rollerblade' type wheels, and overall I liked them, but after two years, at least two of them had swivel bearings that were stubborn to change directions, even if I lubricated them. I've just come to expect things at this price point to have a limited life, especially if used daily like I do. The new casters fit just fine, and are dimensionally identical to the old ones. They definitely gave the chair it's old performance again, and I'm overall happy with that. 4 stars for construction that is no better than what came with the chair. I use these on a plastic mat over a hardwood floor. For those that are wondering, I think the rollerblade (single wheel) style of caster will never swivel to change directions as easily as the two wheel versions by nature of the design. They essentially have to swivel in place on the mat when they turn, which is a lot of friction. The two wheel casters also have twice as much contact area on the floor, which means 1/2 as much of your weight needs to pivot at any point on the mat. In my case, I don't totally mind a little extra resistance. Having casters that move too easily means I'm constantly pushing myself out of position just by relaxing my legs. These casters gave me exactly what I expected there. The last deduction (1/2 star if I could) is basically due to the actual appearance of the silver version vs what I thought I was buying. I attached two pictures. One is the main key photo in the listing at the time I purchased, and the other is the wheels as installed on my chair. You'll notice the key photo appears polished, and maybe even chrome plated, with a bright silver plastic in the hub. I was pretty excited for that look. What I received was what appears to be perhaps nickel plating over a non-polished surface, and more of a dull gray hub. To be fair, there were other photos in the listing that were much closer to what I got, but they are also very different than the key photo. Overall I'll keep them. I don't expect them to last more than a year or two anyway, at which time I'll try something else, or maybe it will be time to get a new chair.

I've ordered these before and they work fantastic. the only issue was this time I was in the 2% margin that was a different size and stem. I had purchased these for an Ikea chair which is a mil different from the standard size 10mil (7/17). Majority of chairs run a stem length and width of 11mil (7/16).
