Amazing filter!! I was nervous to buy since everyone claimed it to be loud but that is definitely not the case for me. There is noise from the water entering the tank which is similar to a waterfall sound, but its not at all loud. The filter was loud at first because it took a while for itself to settle and I guess 'prime ' itself and so there was more of a humming and crackling sound, but that went away in less than a week and now the only sounds are those of the water coming out. The tank with this filter is in my room and I have no issues sleeping and I'm a light sleeper.The filter creates great surface agitation , and I recommend playing around with the valve to increase and decrease water flow and see which fits your tank best.I absolute adore the skimmer! No more bubbles or micro films on the surface of the water, my tank looks exceptionally clean.I also really like that there is space in the filter to add biological media like the ceramic rings etc.Overall I'm super happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product to others.

This filter arrive really quickly and was very easy to set up. the build quality is very good but seeing as its under £15 for such a large filter i was trying to work out how they were able to sell it so cheap and i think the quality of the plastic itself is where they have cut costs as it isnt the strongest of plastics as i cracked one of the pipes on installation but then again i am rough handed. The skimmer didnt work for me because my water level was too low so i cant comment on that but overall id give this a 5 star. Built well, VERY cheap, good flow, crystal clear water and easy cleaning :). If this was over £30 i would say its a 4 star due to slightly brittle plastic but for under £15... its excellent all round .. defiantly recommend to a friend

Using on the back of a closed lid 28L tank to give more space for plants inside. Fairly quiet, would definitely be okay for a family room.Works good as long as you get the flow right and water level spot on. Makes an awful racket if you don't put it together right and needs different media to flow for longer than a couple days without spilling out the wrong side (still into the tank).All in all, if it fits your tank go for it, can't not reccomend for the price if you need some space back in your tank.

Carefully followed the instructions on YouTube and instruction sheet to the letter. Made sure all the parts snapped together and primed it. There was a faint hum from the motor and the impeller was spinning and nothing else. Took apart, including taking off the motor and reinstalling, still nothing. I bought this for my aquarium setup abroad. So l have had to go local to buy a nasty looking overpriced replacement. With taxi trips and buying a local sourced pump l am a futher £50 put of pocket. Next time I will spend more save time and money. Avoid this product.

Quite once it's primed although not a massive amount of space to work with. I've got it specifically for Purigen as it's easier than opening up the 307 canister. Putting the impellor cap on was quite the fiddle with sausage fingers but once seated everything goes together easily. It is rather hard brittle feeling plastic but it'll do the job at a cheap price.

Works great but it if gets lightly knowcked or moved can stop working and need fiddling with for 5 mins to get it back going.

For the price this is a fantastic little filter. It's super quiet and minimal flow, perfect for a shrimp or Beta tank.Would happily buy again!

Old cartridge filter died on my small nursery tabk and needed a replacement fast. 100% better than the one I had. Easy to fit.

El filtro muy bien, pero viene con enchufe de UK y no lo avisan. Toca gastar más dinero comprando adaptador de enchufe, por lo que hay otros filtros más baratos....

Súper silencioso y hace la función en acuarios pequeños. Básico

Mal von der Tatsache abgesehen, dass der Filter einen englischen Stecker hat ( wofür ich noch einen Adapter gekauft habe) lief er die ersten 3 Monate problemlos. Danach ist der Motor lauter als ein Staubsauger und einfach nicht zu ertragen.Ich rate von einem Kauf ab.
