Entertaining, Educational, Epic!
We already have several of the bee bright farm DVDs and our children ADORE them, so as soon as this one was released we had to buy it. Just like the other DVDs in the series, this has been an instant hit with both children and grown-ups in this house! These films are genuinely entertaining, with really well filmed sequences which very clearly show you how everything on the farm works, along with entertaining explanations from JUSTIN FLETCHER. Some of the sequences are really well edited with great music and are quite exciting to watch. There is also plenty of humour - our kids particularly like the bit where a load of slurry is spilt and Justin calls it a `seriously sloppy, smelly slurry spillage!' That makes them laugh every time!As a parent, what impresses me most about these films is the sheer detail. A small example of this is in the film about combines. Not only do we see a massive modern combine, but we also get to see the world's smallest combine, as well as different kinds of combines filming a number of different crops. We also see an old fashioned reaper and threshing machine at work - and just to complete things we even get to see a thatcher at work in order to illustrate what the straw used to be used for in olden days. It's this kind of detail that makes these DVDs so educational and epic! These DVDs seem to entertain and educate across a wide age range. In our family children of quite differing ages seem to enjoy them equally. The grown-ups have even learnt a thing or two as well! There are three films on this DVD - slightly fewer than on the other DVDs in the series which usually have four or five films, but each of the films on this DVD lasts longer so the overall running length is still about the same. The extra running length seems to be in order show everything in such great detail.I can't rate these DVDs highly enough and am always recommending them to all our friends. I also give them to all of our young relatives for Christmas and birthday presentsI'd just like to add that our children have a number of the Tractor Ted DVDs as well and we all think that these ones are far better. In fact, although our children used to love them, our children have barely watched Tractor Ted since we bought these DVDs. As well as being far better quality, these are also definitely much better value. Each one of the three films on this DVD is equivalent in length to just one Tractor Ted DVD - so these are really worth buying.

My two year old gets hours and hours of enjoyment out of this
The DVD has barely been in our house one week and yet my little boy has watched, and watched, and watched it time and time and time again! He absolutely LOOOOOVES it. To keep a 2 years 5 months old little boy's attention for long you really have to produce a first class product. This one is it. It has big machines, huge machines, weird looking machines, strange machines, unusual machines, old machines, and everything, absolutely everything in between. It follows farming processes through different times of the year, looks at modern farming processes and traditional ones. It is truly educational. The commentary by Justin Fletcher is just perfectly pitched for young and older children alike. Even adults get a lot out of it, especially if they are not that knowledgeable about farming. I've learnt so much from it!Now here's something that will put things in perspective. The day Bee Bright Out & About on the Farm - Mighty Machines arrived at my house the recently released Disney Pixar Planes film also arrived. I gave my little boy a choice of which one to watch first and he categorically chose Mighty Machines. Afterwards I attempted to show him the film Planes, he watched it for a few minutes, very quickly lost interest and then proceeded to ask for Mighty Machines again. Clearly the Bee Bright team knows what they're doing!I am a HUGE fan of Bee Bright products; they are beautifully and thoughtfully crafted. My little boy gets so much enjoyment and education out of them it is simply amazing. With the Bee Bright First Steps DVDs he has learnt colour and shape recognition, counting and number recognition, and he is beginning to learn the alphabet. With Out & About Mighty Machines he can now recognise all sorts of machines and name them and even know what they are for. And he is not even 2 and a half yet!

Love this video and the Out and About on the Farm Series
We love this series and the new video was much loved by the children. We believe these videos appealto boys especially and the videos in this series are educational and fun. The two boys in ourfamily love the series and have learned so much about farming and where food comes from. Theoldest boy especially loves "things that go" and tractors and diggers so these videos are a favourite in our house. We feel the way these videos are produced is wonderful as there is an inclusiveness in the narration in these videoswhich make the watcher (children) feel included in the whole adventure of discovery and learning shown in the video. The video narration does not talk down to the children but includes them... a very nice approach and one that has themcoming back to watch the videos over and over. There is also an underlying good sense of humour in the video with Justin involved and the interaction with the little bees who appear at the beginning and end of the videos also helps to make the video very enjoyable and entertaining for the children as well as being informative. Well done Bee Bright and Justin Fletcher... please make some more videos in this series.. our boys just love them!
