OBD 2 II Pinout Breakout Box, Brand-Independent

Good value, reasonably well built piece of equipment.I use this in my line of work as an auto electrician for a large British car manufacturer,The lead which connects to the box is of fairly good quality - it seems robust enough to last a while and the addition of the splitter lead makes it useful for doing software work whilst being able to pin into the vehicular networks.The terminals of the box are slightly loose in my opinion when probing with my fluke 4mm probe adapters but not to the point where readings may be affected.For my use - single manufacturer vehicles with identical pin-outs - I used a magic marker to label the terminals - the box is fine for this.A small complaint of mine is that pins 4 and 5 are shared grounds - under most circumstances this isn't a problem as the vehicle ground circuit is shared, however there may be the odd occasion where 1 ground has been lost yet the other hasnt and with the current set up of the box this would be difficult to tell.All in all this is a good bit of kit to go in the toolbox and seems to be standing up well to the rigours of regular use

A few of the sockets just pushed through into the box as soon as I used it. I had to strip the box and glue them into position.
