MaryJane's Cast Iron Kitchen Hardcover – September 5, 2017

I have seen many cast iron cookbooks and this one is absolutely the best! Authentic real country cooking, great pictures and good guide to taking care of your cast iron. Great gift for all my best chef friends!!!

I chose this rating as I find the recipes VERY easy to follow. I unearthed my mother's 8" deep skillet AND a Dutch Oven from the deep recesses of our kitchen cupboard, which I took out , cleaned, reseasoned and use almost everyday! Now I need a cookbook for more motivation to use them.After looking through a number of cast iron skillet cookery books, I settled on this one, and with no regrets! I would recommend it in a heartbeat.Another feature which caught my attention is the author's use of organic virgin coconut oil - which I use everyday - for health and cosmetic reasons. You see I'm from the Caribbean and coconut oils are a staple in EVERYTHING!! The different oils have their place in everything.

As a lover all things country, and of for all things that remind of summers spent on my grandmother’s farm learning to cook, and even going camping with my grandmother, my parents, and learning to fish with my grandfather, I love cookbooks that remind me of those times. I love cast iron because for me it reminds me of these strong country women in my life who have helped shape into who I am today. The recipe featured were all great, and I am truly excited to try many of them! This is a great collection for my cast iron cooking collection.

This book brought great joy to me in finding recipes that I “wanted” to cook. Going through chemo is hard, it is really hard when you need to cook healthy foods and yet have no desire to move let alone cook for your family and still have energy to eat what you have cooked. Mary Jane’s book was fun and healthy. I enjoyed everything about this cookbook!

My family LOVES the food made using Mary Jane’s Cast Iron Kitchen. We’ve tried probably over half of the recipes and they’re all so flavorful and delicious! I would love to see a Cast Iron Kitchen volume 2!

The recipes are good as are the techniques for seasoning, using, and cleaning cast iron pots and pans.

Delicious recipes and very informative. I learned how to properly clean and maintain my cast iron cookware, and the food is yummy!!!!
