My take on a few simple questionsWhat is this?This product is a small step in the future of this growing industry.Why do I like to use it?I love using new and emerging technologies that make my life easierWhen I opened it everything was really simple and it came with a quick-start guide which was really helpful in getting this started. I was able to use it right away as it was already charged. So I hate when I buy a product that doesn't quite fit right. The PenSimple is super sleek and fits better than a glove. It's air tight and even though it's quite large it fits in my jeans pocket and keeps any smells away well. The main picture looks weird and makes it seem like the end cap is actually attached somewhere along the mid section of the pen. The shape of the pensimple is basically a cylinder with a cone at the end. I've uploaded some picturesLoading and grinding are manual, but pretty easy. It comes with a funnel to help with loading. The funnel can be helpful, but it's definitely not needed to use at all. The grinder is small, but it is really high quality metal. There's also finger grips on the grinder side as you can see in my pictures that's really nice for grinding easily. The only thing I wish is that there was a separate button for grinding. I'd pay a little extra for that capability. Dispensing is super simple and requires a few presses of a button. One thing that makes sense now that I didn't originally think about is for it to work best you have to angle it down(where the hole is). If you angle it on a slant like a pencil there's a chance some of the herb will end up in the tip chamber. It's a cool new toy that's opened up as a product of recent changes in the industry and is fun to use more than anything.I usually leave the product at home. Although I know I can take it with me in my normal jean pockets. If you wear tight jeans or jeans with small/no pockets I would recommend having something to carry it in if you don't have big pockets. Considering how big it is it fits plenty of herbs. It's easily enough to keep me stocked until I get back home. It's definitely clutch for wanting to use herbs on the go. When I take it with me I can pull it out and quickly dispense and use and I don't need to pre-grind my herbs before taking it with me which is a plus.Pros: - The product weight and feel definitely indicate a high quality product - The battery life is long. It was also charged when it arrived - The chamber is big enough to hold enough herbs for 2-8 uses depending on how much herb you use - No smellCons: - It doesn't grind herbs automatically - If you don't pay attention you may not let out all of the herb if not angled correctly. - It's a bit priceyAll-in-All this product is an investment. It's somewhat of a luxury product. It costs $80, but I could drop it off the top of my 5-story balcony and it would be fine. With the amount of herbs that I go through this thing will make it's money back in a few months. This will definitely last many years. This product gets five stars mainly because there's nothing else out there that does this. You really can't buy it anywhere else.

Where to begin...Starting with the magnetic top, it grabs everything around and yet still seems to pop off on it's own with ease. Next the tiny grinder does about as well as you might think. Very poorly, the shake is so dense it clumps together and will not feed thru, it just hangs up in several places. Then you have the electronic gate. This makes absolutely no sense to me why they put it at the top of the mechanism. You lose 2/3 of the storage. No to mention everything that is lost on each dispense. Tons of waste with no cap to keep it in. Also this thing is massive. Don't think you are going to put it in your pocket and not have people comment on it. Not something that's easy to hide. Finally, it took 8 hours to charge upon receiving it and seems to die fairly quickly which is sad considering the grinder is manually operated.Bottom line is his is nothing more than a gimmick and a pricey one at that.

The PenSimple is a well-machined device. All the components fit very smoothly together and the magnetic attachment for the cap piece is a nice touch (though I wouldn’t mind if it was slightly stronger). It feels like solid construction when holding in the hand. The matte black finish is refined and has a nice modern feel to it.As the description says, the grinding part is manually done. The motorized part is the dispenser, so you should be careful about what to expect. There are other products on amazon for motorized grinding. PenSimple is for controlled easy dispensing. The attached manual grinder does work well though if you don’t already have one or want to do it on the go.As far as portability, it’s a little big in the pocket but if you already have a travel pack/bag it would be a nice addition as a useful tool. Personally I keep mine at home for easy dispensing. Guests find it an interesting novelty and like to play with it.The overall design is pretty good for a first version. I’m definitely looking forward to future iterations of the product where some of the function could be further refined.

I purchase this product for its store and dispense capabilities. Upon receiving it I put 1/2 gram of pre-ground material into the device. The material had a humidity level of around 48%( I normally keep my product around 62%) Unfortunately this device did not dispense very well at all. After holding the button down, shaking, and tapping it on the table I was able to get only a small amount. I do not know if mine was defective or what I just know it did not work well. I tried contacting the seller but was unable to I did however receive a full refund from Amazon. Hope this review finds you well. Thanks DrF

This rather large device is for someone who really likes to spend time with their herb. Too big to carry in a pocket— hard to transfer after grinding and dispensing ground herb is ALL it does. It isn’t a vape device or any smoking device. I say spend $10 on a plastics, smell-proof grinder/storage that is much smaller but works better. Buy this if you like to fiddle with your herb.

Really simple and easy to use way to grind and store your herbs. Just twist a few times and double tap the button and you're good to go. I haven't really taken it anywhere outside of my home but it seems pretty useful for anyone who'd want to take it out with them somewhere since it's storage is sealed tight. Looks and feels like a quality product too so its nice to show off to friends. Not sure what the deal is with the extra attachments but might turn into a multi-use item down the road. Overall happy with the buy and thinking about picking another up as a Christmas present.

Over priced and didn't work properly

The button on the electric grinder broke what a waste of £70, thought it looked good on the Kickstarter but it's rubbish, can't grind and always gets stuck

I thought it would be an automatic herb grinder for the price. It isn't. (yes, I realize I didn't read properly! My mistake, but really, for this price?!) It's an extremely expensive extremely tiny herb holder. Like, might hold enough for one bowl? It has a TINY, I can't emphasize how tiny, MANUAL grinder is. Do not overload it or ... well, you make an enorrrrrrmous mess trying to clean it up. All the 'electronic' bit does is cause a ... sifting type plate? to spin inside to 'release' the herb you've ground into it.I returned it the same day I received it I think. I can't believe this is a product that exists.

This pensimple is awesome! I’m never going to buy a grinder again. Completely worth the money
