Fake or faulty batch
I love this product and have been using it for over a year now but have always purchased it from boots stores. For convenience I decided to start a subscribe and save order from Amazon instead . For some reason the Amazon one leaves my hair looking dusty grey. All my previous ones from boots have never caused me this problem. I went and bought another bottle from boots to compare and found the formula to be different. The one from boots is pure black and leaves no residue in the hair however the one from Amazon leaves a dusty grey veil over my hair. I don't know if amazon have a faulty or fake batch of this item or are just storing it wrongly which is causing the product to turn bad. I will definitely not be ordering this from Amazon again and will stick to boots.

This stuff is great if you have a lot of fine curly hair and you want to style it rapidly after washing. Hairspay and my hair don't seem to like eachother so I use the Bouffe spray like a hair spray - the thing is though it is coloured - so the way I use it is to spray it on, let it dry for a couple of minutes and then brush it through. the excess comes off and sticks to the hair brush . It works for me but it takes a bit of experimenting with. Only a little is needed to hold the curls into a bit more shape

Brill for coverage but very dusty looking recommend buying the root touch up spray from local shops not dusty and brill coverage.

Grey scalp
I have been ordering the black for months and thought it worked to add volume however as I have fine thinning black hair I had not realised the scalp underneath actually looked pale grey. Only until people started to comment, I checked in the light and saw how bad it looked. I guess it's fine if you have masses of thick hair but be careful if not if kind of defeats the object!
