I have a double glazed unit with an exiting circular hole in for an extractor fan that we no longer need due to a change around in the kitchen.I could not find anywhere a fan like this that was small enough, yet still went through a double gazed unit. then the lightbulb moment. I took this apart and glued (using silicon which started off white and then set transparent) this to the window, holding in place with masking tape until it was properly set about 12 hours later.It now looks very tidy and as if it was meant to be there all along.The open and shut is very simple, allowing me to allow airflow in and out of the kitchen as needed.The only thing I would also recommend is the associated storm cover; with that it has resisted some very heavy downpours without the slightest bit of rain coming in.Recommended.

I had bought these to replace old, dirty ones. They are quite stiff to take apart and install. Top tip! Use some vasaline to lubicate the wheel. It’s then easier to slide together. I was a bit worried they would break and this helped a lot. Once installed, they work well and look much better.

As anyone who has to use these type of air vents knows, they have a comparatively short shelf life before they turn yellow and get brittle. These are a great standard fit - slightly tricky to unscrew, but if you use some vaseline then you'll find it a lot easier to screw them into place and into a tight fit that should undo when they next need replacing.

It does what it says on the tin, if it came in a tin! It’s very pricey for what it is and there’s no point buying it without the ‘stormguard’ However, it does work and it works very well. I’m pleased I bought it, but it’s too expansive for what it is.

Easy to fit, took just minutes and makes such a difference to old yellowing one.Would recommend.
