I combine this enzyme with betaine HCL with pepsin by nature life and it has been the biggest game changer in my digestion. It contains more Alpha-Galactosidase than any other enzyme brand I’ve found (most don’t even have that enzyme) which is why I bought it - it specifically helps the body break down plant fibers. Boy does it help! I can eat radishes and arugula and celery again! (I have not been brave enough to try broccoli or things in that line yet haha) but that is next. I also use Digest gold from this brand if I’m eating a big dense meal. Sometimes I take both together if the meal warrants it. Let me say that for years my digestions has been getting worse and worse and I didn’t understand why. Recently I was diagnosed with hEDS and prior to that I already knew I had low stomach acid, between these two issues I couldn’t eat much of anything without getting sick. The betaine hcl may not be the answer for everyone as it’s only for those who have low stomach acid but you can google it and there are ways you can test yourself at home to see or you can seek out a doctor. I just tested it all at home and again my life and digestion has gotten so much better. The important part for this review is it was not just the betaine as that did help but I was still having issues… it wasn’t until I discovered this brand of enzymes and used them with it that I saw the results I had truly been looking for. They are expensive but if I’ve learned anything in my health journey it is this… 1- you cannot trust all supplements on Amazon. 2- the cheaper ones often fall short (I have tried so many cheaper digestive enzymes before that didn’t work nearly as well) 3- It’s worth it to at least try the more expensive stuff once rather than continuing to spend money trying to find a cheaper one that works. I bought VeggieGest numerous times and it worked very well !! Then because of my purse... I couldn't purchase anymore. HOWEVER, those of you who have issues with digestion of certain veggies, etc., this works. It's Enzymes your body needs. As you get older food habits change and your organs get older with you. So treat yourself to these enzymatic capsules to help with digestion and stomach/intestinal health !! Works!!

For fiber breakdown it needs more Cellulase enzyme.

Where have these been al my life?? I can eat night shades now! No heartburn, stomach aches or bloating! I had tried Fodzyme which works but way too expensive. These are great!

I ordered this for my 70 year old father. He seams to have bloating issues in his stomach. By taking this supplement his stomach bloating has drastically reduced, you can even see that his stomach size has reduced by 50%. For a while he discontinued this product , the bloating came back and his stomach doubled again. I now make sure he has a constant supply of this. Only thing I can wish for is that the product could have been cheaper 25-30 $ a month for this bottle is on the higher side.

I've been trying to eat more vegetables lately, not just for health but for moral reasons (animal-friendly) but in terms of digestion it sadly seems my body does best on a Paleo diet and very poorly on a vegetarian diet! If I eat vegetables (or fruit, though for this I only tried it with vegetables) my stomach immediately swells up so it looks like I'm six months pregnant - as with an ectomorph body type, this dramatically stands out and is quite distressing both physically and socially. I was really hoping this supplement would allow me to eat more along vegetarian lines but it did not make an iota of difference. I did follow the directions. Like some other reviewers, I tried upping the number of capsules taken. Two capsules? No difference. Three capsules? No difference. Four capsules? No difference. These were fairly expensive as supplements go and I would gladly pay the price if it worked, but it was quite expensive indeed for something that worked 0%. I'm not saying it won't work for others, but it didn't work for me.

Another product recommended to me by UCLA dietician. I eat a veggie burger that is chucked full of vegetables that could be a problem for me. When I take this I don't have a tummy ache afterwards. It really works. I have IBSc and it is so nice to be able to eat more things without symptoms and tummy aches.

I've got problems at digesting most carbs so I usually avoid them but occasionally one creeps up on me and gets me into trouble! One of those capsules certainly helps get rid of excess gas, nausea or just discomfort.

Works amazingly well for those of us who need help digesting veggies. Only four stars because you can find them cheaper on other websites.

They really help with digesting pulses. Highly recommend if anyone has issues digesting food like legumes.

I am a vegetarian and suffer from multiple food intolerances including but not limited to gluten, dairy, legumes & onion. I find these particularly helpful when eating out or travelling - I don't think you could successfully use them to achieve symptomless digestion of problem foods on an everyday basis. On a side note, I used to use the Digest Spectrum formula from the same brand, however I found I sometimes experienced a slight stomach ache from them. This formula seems to be kinder to the stomach and yet still effective for multiple intolerances. One star off as they are somewhat pricey, however they are worth it.
