Is both an adapter and a converter, which means you can use it for your hair dryer as well as your other electrics.
Bought this for my trip to the UK, I liked it because I could switch he setting between adapter / converter, so I could use my hair dryer too. I've had other power adapters that have ruined my electrics; this performed brilliantly on a 16 day trip.

I travel often and this is perfect because it's small
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is a handy light weight converter to have. I travel often and this is perfect because it's small, lightweight and easy to pack. Plus it comes with a handy little case. I'm also excited to have it for when we start our Air B & B room. I'm sure it will be used by lots of travelers. Of course I wish it could handle more wattage, but I'm thinking most people will just use it for a blow dryer or some thing small. Convenient little gadget, would recommend.

Quit working after 29 days.
Well designed, easy to pack. Used it in Germany for a WaterPik ONLY, which was used usually once a day. It worked fine until the 29th day, when in the middle of using the WaterPik, the appliance just quit working. I had to throw away the WaterPik. Obviously the current was no longer being converted. I am afraid to try the converter again in case it kills another appliance.

High enough wattage
I learned that a converter has to have the right watt capacity to match the item its plugged into. This is the only high enough watt capacity converter I found and it works well

Broke my charger!
BONAZZA 2000W Universal World Travel Adapter and Converter - 220V to 110V Transformer for Hair Dryer Cell Phone - All in One International US Europe UK Italy Spain China Power Plug Adapter Charger I bought this some time ago based on the good reviews and its versatility, compactness for different parts of the World. Recently I used in a trip to China on my Braun electric toothbrush charger. The tooth brush charge indicator light never came on and consequently I couldn't use it during the trip, not sure if it's a bad converter or the toothbrush charger. After I got home, checked the converter on my step-up transformer, was very surprised that it did still puts out 225V, no wonder my toothbrush charger got fried. this is the firs and the last time I used this converter.Too bad it's long passed Amazon return deadline, $40 and the toothbrush charger down the drain, will not recommend this product to say the least.

All in one: adapter, converter, multiple countries
I purchased several different adapters for my first time trip to Asia. I had no idea what to expect, but this adapter/converter was a life saver. The ability to switch among type of outlets was crucial, as was the adapter v converter switch. I burned up one hair dryer with another generic adapter... but this allowed me to use my hair dryer without issue when flipping the converter switch. LIFE SAVER, literally :)

Did not work. Smoked. Garbage.
Bought two of these for a trip to Italy. First night I plug a night light into one of them. An LED night light which uses minimal amperage. The transformer smelled of an electrical burn and swelled. It also damaged the night light. I was so uncertain, I dared not let anyone else in my family use the other one. I will not purchase another. These are a danger. Don't buy one. An LED night light smoked it.

Doesn't work in England
Brought this to use on our trip to England. We couldn't use it because it didn't have the grounding prong which is what they're updating all English outlets to having... This update happened years ago.
