PTMJ400 - ClimaTek Motor Start Capacitor Replaces Packard 400-480 MFD 220 250 Volt

Perfect replacement for the Dayton 2MEU5 that originally came on my air compressor. Looks identical, fit better in the cover, and works great all for 1/3 the price!

Bought this to try and fix compressor ... Kept tripping breaker even under no load (no belt to comp. Head) just motor .would run for like a sec or 2 then trip .....replaced both the start and run cap. Starts strong and runs good although new caps. Don't fit into original housings ... Will have to see if it also fixed the problem of not being able to run off my Genny (5000 watt cont. 7500 peak) which should be plenty comp. Is only 16 amp. We will see

Perfect fit and worked

Works well and as described, it put my Craftsman 25 gallon (black twin piston) air compressor back to life, it didn't fit the motor housing like the oem one but I managed to mount it.

Measured within tolerance of its spec, works well to start the 2HP 220V motor on a Jet lathe.

Using in a rotary phase converter, 2 of these start up my 20hp motor with ease. Seems to be high quality.
