I really like the size and function of this spill proof mug. Item arrived in padded, cardboard packaging. Arrived in perfect condition.The lid is easy to twist on and off. It is easy to clean with easy open lid mechanism and bottle brush. No leaks or drips have happened. Have only used for coffee so unsure how long it keeps drinks cold but it doesn't keep coffee hot very long. It definitely does not keep beverages hot for 7 hours.It is important to open the seal away from face and allow to release pressure before drinking when using hot liquids. The instructions do mention doing this. The outside does not get hot to the touch.The contour of the mug fits nice in the hand and allows for easy use of the release button with one hand. Locking the release button is done with a button on top of the lid. The lock button is a little stiff to flip up and down but that ensures it is not accidentally unlocked.Overall this is the perfect mug for me. I do not mind it not keeping the contents hot for 7 hours. I purchased this to use for coffee only and I am very satisfied with all aspects of this mug. It does have a limited lifetime warranty for manufacturer defects but not normal wear and tear. You can register your mug at Contigo's website quick and easy.

This is to replace a 3 year old Contigo which leaked on and off all the time. This one they got it right for the 20oz version. I wouldn't say it keeps coffee hot for 5 hours but definitely at least 2-3 then it stays luke warm another 2-3 hours. It gets me through the day. It's a nice stainless steel container and the leakproof lids works great and flips open to clean. My wife has the 24oz and loves hers.

great mug - use daily with my coffee or ice water in the car or on the golf course. Never leaks - auto closes. this is my 3rd one - lost 1, the second one my wife forced me to replace because it started showing its age after 7 years. it still didn't leak. I run top and bottom thru dishwasher daily though instruction say not to>>>over time the colored ones (I had blue) - the paint started peeling (did not affect the interior or function). now I only go with the unpainted stainless, so it is not an issue. Yeti keeps hot/cold longer, but when I throw it on my car seat, there is a 50/50 chance I didn't rotate the top to close it, and it spills all over. For an everyday mug, I prefer my self-closing CONTIGO.

Unfortunately, I dropped the first one I purchased and dented it. I decided to buy the bigger size this time. It doesn’t fit under a keurig because of its size but I don’t mind that too much. It is kind of hard to clean the grooves where the top screw on but I do appreciate the press button to clean the inside of the lid. It’s also very convenient to be able to lock the lid and the press to sip. Definitely helps to prevent spills. Sometimes it makes a hissing noise and I have to press the button to open the top to release steam but that’s not a huge problem. Keeps drinks hot for a while. I usually fill it around 7:30 in the morning and it’s still hot at 12pm. I really appreciate that about it as well. Overall, really great product.

I absolutely love this mug, I am on my 3rd one! I was gifted the original one from my job several years ago. Since then I've purchased two more of the updated version and I love it even more with the new locking mechanism and teabag string holder. Keeps cold drinks cold & hot drinks hot for HOURS!! Very sturdy and durable, as well a nice looking. My goto mug for my morning tea for work.

Great seal- no leaking. Pretty colors (baby blue, diamond white). Keeps liquid very, very hot. Great for transporting and maintainingtemperature. Horrible for drinking while commuting. Solution- if you want to drink on the go, get it to the temperature you want before putting the lid on. It will hold that same temperature for a few hours.
