This product is exactly what I needed, and the price was good. Other reviewers mentioned that it smelled, but since this looks so much like the waffle-weave shelf liners that I use in the kitchen, I figured it would just have a similar mildly plasticky smell if you really were right next to it. Nope. This stuff smells so strongly of some kind of chemicals/VOCs that the odor was making me feel ill from two rooms away. It's a nice thick pad and exactly right for my needs, so I optimistically hung it up to air out, but after a few minutes I realized that there's no way I would ever want this material in my bedroom. It's now quarantined in an airtight plastic bag waiting to be returned.

I purchased this to place under fairly heavy cubes that tended to slide around on my newly installed Pergo laminate flooring. Works perfectly. Because it is very thin it does not make the cubes wobbly which would have been the case with thicker material. I had not realized that many materials could cause permanent damage to the laminate floors. A Mohawk customer service person recommended that I avoid anything that had real rubber in it. This is one of those cases where something artificial is better than its natural alternative!

I have new Pergo Outlast+ laminate floors. Before purchasing this rug pad I contacted Pergo, a sister company of Mohawk. The representative told me that any rug pad by Mohawk Home was safe for my laminate flooring. When I received this rug pad it was clearly marked with Mohawk Home on the packaging. I wish I had saved the packaging. I received this rug pad on November 4 and these photos were taken two days later on November 6. Luckily I was able to clean the area and it looks like the marks are gone. But I’m not taking a chance because I’m afraid if I left the rug pad down longer, the pattern of the rug pad may not be able to be cleaned off. I purchased this because I wanted a nonslip rug pad for my door to prevent slip and falls. I think I will take the chances and try a felt pad even though it may not be nonslip.

A little stinky coming out of the bag, but you can't smell it when it's down under the rug. Seems to be holding everything in place very well. I would recommend.

Rug hugger to make throw rugs stick to floor . Works

I put this under a 5 x 7 rug on a hard floor. It works way better than the thinner style non-slip pads. Rug has not moved. It doesn't add much, or any, padding, but I wasn't looking for that. I had to trim about 6-8 inches off the length, but it cut easily. I cut it with regular scissors while it was still folded lengthwise. The width was perfect and didn't need trimming.

I had a rug pad under a runner near the door and it slipped. I thought this new one would hold the the carpet in place. I was wrong. It has exactly the same issues. There is no furniture to hold it in place and the carpet is not terribly heavy and the rug wrinkles frequently. Does not do what I expected it to do.

This stuff works really well! I initially bought it to add some cushion to some area rugs that I thought were too thin, but the fact that it also keeps them in place very well is great. I realize that the whole point was to keep the rug from moving, but some items work better than others for this, and this one really grips.
