Exactly what I wanted but side where you hook is plastic broke in less than a year

I love this thing! I have two small dogs. One poops at least three times on walks and they are both prone to colitis so the poo vault is a life saver for me. I do have to tie a knot in the bag (because of the colitis) but even so the vault holds 5 knotted bags so I no long have to juggle all those bags plus two dogs that always want to go in opposite directions! The best part is you don’t get a whiff of anything . The only reason I have held back one star is that the lid doesn’t have closed hinges and sometimes when I open it the lid pops right off which is a bit annoying. I’m working around that flaw and it would not prevent me from buying this item again I still highly recommend it .

Works well and does what it supposed to do. Plastic is a lot sturdier and stronger than expected. It isn't smell-proof, but it still does a good job of blocking odors. Easy to clean.My only issue is the lid comes off a little too easily when you open the container. I've had the top try to fall off a couple of times when I'm putting dog poo into the container. As you might imagine, this makes things complicated when you have a dog poo bag in one hand and a dog leash in the other. I wish there was a way to improve this but still keep it easy to clean.

After using it for some time, I can say I am very happy with this product.I hike mountain trails and there are pack in, pack out rules to keep nature pristine. My 62-lb young Lab x unfortunately is a frequent pooper so I needed a product to be able to carry his poo over long distances.This has a bulky, odd shape but, though it is small and does not hold a lot, I can fit 4-5 poos if I really try. I tie the bags off and leave the knotted heads hanging outside and clamp the lid down over the necks of the bags. Not subtle but it gets the job done. For a really large dog like a Mastiff, this would hold 2 poos max probably.The Poo Vault is very sturdy and has withstood multiple drops without a crack. I was worried about the plastic lid closures possibly cracking but the lid has fallen off from a drop and if the lid pops off, it is easy to pop right back on and snap in place.This keeps the smell down quite well. This is in part because the lid shuts very tight and secure; hence, it can be difficult to open. For me, the ability to keep the smell contained wins over how easy or tough it is to open but if you don't have strong hands, be forewarned.I am happy I purchased this and it works well for my needs. Could be a tad larger for hikes but I think the size accommodates multiple needs. I attach it to the end of my leash for neighborhood jaunts and it is a good size for walking several blocks; much larger and it would be too big.Overall, a winning purchase for me.

Poo Vault is a must-have for dog walks, especially if you're walking multiple dogs. It is so nice not to have to worry about juggling a smelly poop bag and multiple leashes. I have 2 dogs, each about 30 pounds, and I can fit 2-3 "drop off's" in the Poo Vault. It's very important to follow Poo Vault's instructions to NOT tie off a filled poop bag before putting it into the Vault; tying it off will trap air in the bag and take up space. The bags made especially for poop (rather than plastic grocery bags) work best. There is no issue with any leakage from not tying off the bag; I just gently wrap or fold the open end around the filled end a couple times and place it in the Vault. The latch is easy to flip open with one hand (even wearing gloves), and it clips very securely and stays closed. The smell stays trapped in the Vault so don't worry about poop vapors wafting out while walking. You really cannot smell anything when the Vault is latched! When I get home, after emptying the Vault, I spray the inside with Lysol and let it air dry before the next walk. I usually use the carabiner to clip it to my pants belt loop and it doesn't bother me while walking; it's very light weight even when filled. You can also use the clip to attach it to a belt. Overall I could not be happier with the Poo Vault and I highly recommend it!

This would be better if it had better clasp to hold it more firmly in place to the leash. It dangles and makes too much noise for my liking. It’s worth it because I hate the smell of poo on my walks and hikes. I double bag my dog poo and use this. For a longer walks or hikes i plan to place it into a ziplock bag inside of my back pack.You can still smell the poo when it’s in here but it definitely helps

I have a 75lb dog who takes big poops. This holds two large poops. I don’t carry it on our daily walks though because I find it too bulky. Instead, I bought some cheap fanny packs and use those for our dailies. I’ve had this a couple months now and I haven’t used it much because of the bulk. It clanks against me and makes a lot of noise and when I clip it to my dogs harness it actually throws off his gait. For that reason, the only time I see me really using this is when I go on a camping trip or long hike where I could clip this to a backpack where I already have lots of things clanking around. It does keep the smell out very well and that’s a definite plus. I gave it full stars because I do think it’s a good product, it’s just not preferable for daily short walks.

Seems to do all that it ought to. We have small and medium Flexi retractable leashes and the caribeaner sold with this fits the small much better than the medium - medium barely fits. Have not tried the belt clip, seems sort of in the way of arm movement and leash management but whatever. Some have commented on capacity and not to be TMI but for reference, we have a 15 lb dog and a 40 lb dog so if each make 1 deposit for the vault, the capacity is pretty maxed out. To give you an idea of capacity, I filled it with water, transferred to a measuring cup and hold's 1 - 2/3 cups of liquid. Measure that out to get an idea of physical volume.

clip could be better

Great product especially when you go to a national park and you have to pick up your dog's presente and there is not garbage.
