Evo App-Connected Coding Robot (White)

I have used Ozobots in my classroom for a couple of years now. I decided it was time to stretch myself and purchase Ozobot Evo. I have to say Evo takes my class to a whole new level of computing and coding. I have to work to keep up with the discoveries my students are making with Evo. It's not hard with all the resources the folks at Ozobot.com offer. This is a tremendous computer science tool that keeps kids engaged with limitless possibilities. It is very durable and makes exploration easy. Highly recommend it!

Device design is 100% CUTE! Amazing and maybe for a 4th grader... ok.Disappointed with the company and the instructions provided - including the video. Was hoping they would support a 'second generation' - something with more complexity and ability to learn more advanced capabilities. If OZOBOT actaully designed a true coding robot... this would be a great foundational tool. As it is... they are igniting the imagination and then giving up on the next level.Still... sounds lights and mode of travel are very entertaining.

I have to push the button 7 or 8 times before it will turn on. I have to do the same to turn it off. My 8 year old granddaughter could not turn it off or on. I thought I had clicked on return but I must have clicked return on my warranty. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Bought two and both had wheels that stopped working within 30 minutes of beginning play. Customer support did initially respond and said they were passing the case on to a manager and then a week later, I received an email saying the case was closed. Interesting because no manager ever responded to me and I still have 2 broken Evos.

A little robot with a lot to offer. Allows users to customize their coding experience by using the line-based coding or blockly coding. The blockly coding also has different levels depending on the age/experience of the user. I bought for my 8 year old daughter and she was able to use it within a few minutes. I also was able to use it on the expert level without any problems. The Evo is small and easy to lose track of, so you should buy a case or use a divided organizer with some foam to place the robot in.App is easy to use and allows users to unlock different features as they use the robot more. Keeps track of your progress and gives you coins to spend on different things - just like in video games.The only bad part is the robot works for about 60 minutes of continuous use. This was expected due to its small size. Easy to charge with the micro USB cable - takes about 60 minutes to charge 100%. Easy to tell when charged because the LEDs on the front indicate power level while charging.Had a problem adding friends to my account to see their progress. Contacted user support, never heard from them. Otherwise, fun to use and best of all easy!

My kids love these little bots!I couldn’t give 5 stars because one wheel stopped working around day 4 of playing with it. Customer service was so accommodating, though, and sent a replacement. They took care of the return shipping on the broken one too.I wish they were more durable and the only other complaint is that they run out of power fairly quickly.The coding is so much fun and there is a lot of variety in what you can do. We bought 2 - one for each of the kids - and they love how interactive they can be. We love how they can use a scratch style interface and click a tab to see the bare code.The app let them friend each other and they can send each other pre-written messages and bot emojis. It also allows them to come up with their own username and to name their bot!The ozobot comes with all kinds of extras - the markers, stickers for personalization, a “skin” - a durable rubber covering to put the stickers on - and a stack of challenge/coding cards.We are currently considering buying a couple more.

Great for kids that are really interested in playing with tech and making small courses and paths to guide the robot around. However, it may not keep your child's interest past two months. Better purchased by people exposing children to technology so that new faces can find its value for the length of time they have with it versus a child owning it and leaving it in their toy box. Children are generally enamored with its size and treat it like a pet at times. If teaching kid about technology in this manner, it may be more advisable to use instructables and a Raspberry Pi to create a bot oneself.

I am quite unhappy with the purchase at the moment. I bought two for both my kids for Christmas. They loved playing with them. Unfortunately, neither bot connects to the advertised android app. I tried two different phones - galaxy s6 and s10. The Evo model requires Bluetooth connection to use ozoblockly coding app. Since I can't get it to work I am leaving a 1 star review, because it feels like I was sold a broken device.

Purchased for my 6 year old grandson for Christmas, also one for my 8 year old grandson. It was great that right out of the box it was charged and they could play with them right away. The cards that come with the pack are great and help them to learn how to code to make the evo do different things. They also put the app on their ipads for more fun and adventures with the little evo.

Poor quality and broke after 2 days of use and cannot be returned because it has some sort of gas in it.Disappointing............................................

Very neat little toy for kids to use/learn.Would be helpful if there are better instructions.Customer service was excellent!!!

Excellent tool for teaching coding and promotion tool for our literacy organization.

Kids Will be happy for Christmas
