I use this to cut cardboard boxes into sheets for easier trips to the dumpster, and this was a GODSEND for helping me do that without having to wear myself out.The blades are sharp enough to cut through the cardboard as if its wrapping paper, which makes me feel a way safer since I don't have to worry about accidentally slipping due to brute-forcing with a duller blade. (The different retractable lengths help with safety too!)I'm also not very physically strong, which is worth mentioning only because it means I can DEFINITELY vouch for how effective the blades are, since even /I/ didnt struggle to slice through anything.The large size of the handle means it can be sort of unweildy if you need smaller & more detail-oriented cuts, but that probably isn't what this item was built for anyway... so in regards to what it IS built for? Being an easy-to-hold, wickedly effective, and dependable crafting tool? I think it totally knocks it out of the park!

Right out of the packaging, this knife is great. I'm an old broad with Arthritis but I recycle cardboard boxes myself and for a few neighbors in my apartment building. This knife is SO comfortable! Even the packaging it came in is great for storing the knife when not in use. Finally, a knife I can use comfortably and slices through heavy cardboard like butter! Comes with five blades, too. One in ready to go and four stored away inside. Do I recommend this knife? HECKYEAH!

I bought this box cutter to replaces the identical article I've had for years. The original didn't fail. I put it in a handy place that I would always remember! Yeah, right! After doing without while searching for the one I have, I ordered another because it is just the good. Feels right in my smallish hands and has blade storage in the handle. Extending and retracting the blade is a simple one-handed operation. Great box cutter at a reasonable price. No home should be without one.

I am a little 76-year-old woman without a lot of strength. This box cutter is so easy to use. You hardly have to use any pressure. I was cutting up Amazon and moving boxes. It worked great.
