What a great book! The magnifying class is such a fabulous little extra. This was devoured by my 4 year old and is most certainly a book that he keeps coming back to! We have also bought copies as gifts and these have been well received.

This book is fantastic!! So much detail, so much to learn, and so much fun!I originally had been looking for an Egypt book because my little ones wanted to learn more about them, and so bought the Egypt one, but I have 5 year old twins and I knew they'd fight over one magnifying glass, so had to buy this pirate one too, and I'm so glad I did.The magnifying glass means children can get interactive with the book, and are far more willing and able to learn the facts when it's so much fun to do so.As well as the factual information to learn, there's lots of other fun stuff to see by using the 'can you find' which leads to noticing other fun stuff too. It's just a great book to use with your little ones.We definitely recommend both this and the Egypt one! And we're looking forward to the castle version coming out later in the year.

Great hardback book for reading about different famous pirates of the times. The illustrations are pretty big in that there is so much to look for. Each page will have 10 items to hunt for from a key, but there are plenty of other things to spot. The accompanying magnifying glass is ok, doesn't work as well as a proper one, but it's a novelty I suppose, and better than none.

Fantastic graphics. The information is quite dense and complex. Maybe one to read with an adult for the younger age group.

Bought as a gift and my cousin's little boy loves it

My 7yr old son loves this book. Informative and interesting, it adds an educational side to the hunting for the individual pirates and illustrations and children love using the magnifying glass. He has yet to do Egypt at school, but we’ll definitely get him the sister title for his next birthday.

This was a Christmas present for my 5 year old pirate mad son. He absolutely loves this book, he especially loves the pirate facts, as it means the book isn’t babyish. Perfect for a real pirate enthusiast 🏴‍☠️

We also have the Egyptians book by the same author. The magnifying glass is nifty and the book is brilliant - keeps my two children happily hunting for hours.

Was super excited for this for my son but arrived with quite a bit of damage to pages and no magnifying glass. Also had a 'USED - $6.99' sticker on the back when I paid for new.

Gave this to my 5 year old grandson , and he loves it , explains the working of a private ship and great illustrations! A lot of information , almost kept it for myself ! Lol

It is missing the magnifying glass!

This is a fun and interactive book for my 7 year old who loves all things pirates. He is constantly grabbing for this and enjoys using the magnifying glass that comes with it. It’s a large book and is beautifully illustrated. Will be buying other books from this series.

I knew this book was good, but it’s even better than I was expecting. It’s fantastic. High quality, very funny, good stories and narrative, good drawings, the magnifying glass included is very good quality too. My child loves it. The very best children book I’ve bought.
