Old Macdonald had a Farm (Classic Books with Holes Board Book) Board book – Illustrated, 1 Sept. 2000

My children loved this book 30 years ago and I was very happy to find it in great condition on Amazon Marketplace to look at with my grandson. The board book makes it easier for younger children to turn the pages themselves and the hole in each page gives them something to glimpse on the next page before they turn the page over. A golden oldie classic!

I like the book as you can sing instead of reading and the holes make it more entertaining for a child. Additionally, the last page is with many more animals than in the song. my son points to the animals and I tell him which noises they make.

My daughter loves this book and insists that we sing "Ee i ee i o" (as she calls it) every day.The book has holes in it that reveal a new animal each time you turn the page. On the last page, they introduce a lot of new animals with their respective sounds, along with Old Macdonald's noisy tractor.This book was a huge hit with our family, and our daughter has learned a lot of new sound because of this book. Highly recommended.

It is just the lyric of that song and some pictures which obviously are not very attractive to my little girl. She is 21 months now and I bought this book about 5 months ago. She does like that song, and she sing it with me, I sing old macdonald had a farm, she'd sing i ya i ya yo. Problem is, we don't need that book to sing this song.So it is a good book, but not a must have.

I have the big paperback version dating to when I was a child. I didn't want my baby to rip my old copy so bought this one. He loves it as he's able to turn the pages properly by himself.

Classic Nursery Rhyme but disappointed with a few things. Firstly the animal noises aren't nessasarly what younger children will identify with being correct i.e Pigs do "grunt", as in the book but my baby at playgroup says "oink" as with the dog, bow wow has replaced woof woof etc. I also really dislike the fact that after page 2 they use etc instead of writing the whole rhyme I guest the print would be too small but that's my preference. A side from that the book is good value & the pictures are great!

I cannot get enough of these books. Durable, fun, colourful big holes in them...what more could a baby want!....my little man just loves them!

Absolutely perfect as purchased this for World Book Day. My daughter was excited to dress as Old MacDonald and sang the song to her Pre-School group whilst showing her new book
